I bobbed in ere last Thurs.i originally wanted to go to the cafe next door the tartan where the food n service is second to none.but with 3 of us there wasn't any tables free."1pm ish" so we decided just to have a chip butty all 3 of us. WELL!!! oh my..firstly the drinks came bearly warm ie.. 2 teas .1 coffee. to say they came quite prompt????? .then the butties came.drum roll.... hard chips well under cooked wrapped in the most driest breakcakes even the ducks would spit out.. sauce bottles dripping out all over the necks .yuk. the saying is once bitten twice shy. Never again. Only wanted chip butties. If they can't get that right.well it doesn't look good for the owners. Never again not for us .

The sausage sandwiches from here are so nice! Definitely recommend! I'll definitely be a regular customer. The owner also is lovely :)

I've eaten breakfast regularly in this place for 14 years, originally when Dawn was the owner. Nicky took over a couple of years ago. She was previously the deputy manager at the Tartan Cafe next door and bought the business from Dawn. I own the business over the road from here, West Riding Personal Financial Solutions Ltd, so if you want to verify this review, call me. The number's on our sign outside. You can find us on Google maps and Facebook, as well as our own website. You can ignore the malicious tripe written by Steve White. The food and drinks are fine, very tasty, and great value. The service is excellent, fast, and friendly. I don't know what his problem is, but it's no secret that there are other establishments in town who are jealous of Nicky's success. Go eat there yourself and make your own mind up.

Ordered coffee and bacon sandwich. Coffee was of the very cheapest kind with a hint of chiccory. We sat outside waiting for the bacon sandwiches after 10-15 the sandwiches still hadn't arrived. I had to go back inside to ask where they were to find out that the cook had only just started to prepare them. After another 5 mins they arrived. Coffee was already cold or had been drank. Well the bacon sandwiches were another matter. The bacon was lightly cooked but the biggest issue was that it was completely tasteless. I felt like I was just eating bread. I managed to eat half the sandwich and discarded the rest. My partner did slightly better but agreed it was tasteless. It was by far the worst bacon sandwich that I have ever been given. It appears that there is a lack of customer care and a lot of cost-cutting going on. Customer satisfaction obviously comes low down as a priority. In my opinion this cafe should be avoided because there are a lot of cafes in the area.
