   From the moment Elaine was recommended to me by a best friend , communication about my wedding jumpsuit has been effortless and efficient, despite the fact that for much of the process we were in different countries! I tried on the original jumpsuit in black crepe size 14 at a clothes show in London, and knew immediately that that was the outfit for me, except I really wanted it in teal . Elaine was incredible at accommodating my every need… sourcing a suitable fabric in a vibrant teal, slight adjustments to the sizing around shoulders and waist, a tapered waistband and an orange silk button to go with the vintage orange shoes I also found at the clothes show. We have got to know each other over numerous Whattsapp video calls and have laughed and planned. Elaine has taken every effort to get to know me and to understand my wishes.

   I found Elaine on Instagram as was looking for an outfit for a special occasion. I love the style of Elaine's dresses and jumpsuits and soon we began chatting. I decided to go for the navy jumpsuit. For one reason or another, I was not able to make a trip up to London for a fitting so Elaine suggested we try a virtual fitting. Well, Elaine, your talents shone so brightly! You know when you've found a good dress maker when they can do a good job virtually. I am quite tall and was struggling to measure my own leg length. Elaine guided me how to do it and then told me my length spot on before I could get the tape measure lined up correctly! She then decided to add a centimetre to my top half and that was it! I felt very confident that she had got it right. I have now received my gorgeous navy jumpsuit in the post. I feel so elegant and happy in it. It is so beautifully made. Elaine, I love your talents and your outfits. I cannot wait to wear my jumpsuit for my special occasion. Thank you xx

   I've been going to Elaine Bernstein for beautiful outfits since 2012. I think I was one of her first customers to buy a black Dorothy dress which was based on a classic 1940s dress which is now available in so many colours and materials, in addition to many other dress styles. The material of my Dorothy dress is very soft and the cut is superb. All of Elaine's pieces are timeless and versatile. She will help with making adjustments so that it's just right for you. Recently I bought the black jumpsuit and I'm really happy with it. The cut is such that it will flatter anyone and it can be dressed up or down for any occasion. It's another classic that won't go out of style!

   I absolutely adore the green jumpsuit Elaine had tailor made for me to wear at my 50th birthday party. The material is really wonderful and so flattering - it's comfortable but feels super glamorous too! It also fits perfectly as made to measure. The whole experience in Elaine's shop was wonderful. She is so experienced and clever and knows just what will work. I would highly recommend the whole service from fitting to collection.    I've had so many compliments on my new Dorothy dress! I'm loving wearing an outfit that fits so perfectly and enhances all the right bits and I can truly say that it makes me feel absolutely beautiful. I'm currently a tall size 20 and I find shopping for clothes an arduous process. Nothing fits exactly right and I often feel frumpy, and frustrated with a lack of choice. Working with Elaine has been a magical experience from start to finish. She is delightfully talented and I've loved experiencing her process; from my first visit to her Islington shop where she took my measurements and suggested best fits and material, and was able to help me choose a colour that really suited me, through to the final tweaks to get the dress just right. Elaine's expertise, eye for detail, and customer service is exemplary. My Dorothy dress feels comfortable and wearable and very flattering on my figure. Elaine has helped me feel gorgeous and creative and like I can wear clothes well. I can't recommend Elaine's services enough and can't wait to get my next one!

   I don't even know where to start! My sister-in-law had her wedding dress designed and made by Elaine and recommended her to me when I couldn't find my perfect outfit for my own big day. I honestly can't shout loudly enough about how great Elaine is. I walked into her shop with some fabric and a rough idea of a jumpsuit I wanted, and when I tell you I felt like I knew this woman my entire life, I mean it. I was greeted by the most friendly, charismatic and talented dressmaker! (Plus an adorable little furry friend, Bonnie) In just a two weeks Elaine made me a toile (a test) of the jumpsuit, made sure everything was perfect before going on to do the final outfit in my chosen fabric and it is honestly the most flattering item I've ever tried on (I had to buy this too). The whole process was zero stress and I knew I was in excellent hands. Her communication and precision was impeccable: She dropped by my house to make sure I was happy with the lining she had chosen and just everything about Elaine's process is so hands on, accommodating and friendly. She just really wants you to be happy! I wasn't the slightest bit worried or nervous when I arrived back at her shop just a few weeks later to try on the finished jumpsuit. It fit perfectly and we were both just as excited that the vision had come to life. I don't know what I would have done without her! I know this isn't my last purchase from Elaine and I can't wait to get new garments made by her. Her talent and love for the craft really speaks for itself, but honestly she's just great all round! She did everything possible to make me happy, comfortable and covid safe. If you're umming and ahing about where to get your wedding dress, jumpsuit or just the most flattering day to day clothing look no further. Elaine is an incredible designer, seamstress and awesome woman! I was so excited to show Elaine our wedding photos and share how everyone at the wedding was just as in love with the jumpsuit as we were. I honestly wouldn't change anything about the process or the outfit. She made the whole thing seamless and enjoyable (plus she saved my husband a headache or two)! Thank you Elaine!
