We had an excellent experience with getting our visas. We filled in all. The forms online first and within 3 days these were accepted and we had our confirmation letter to head to the visa center. We went on Monday 23 - we were in and out in 10 minutes! We paid and was told to collect next Monday (29th, due to closure over holidays) still only a week. Went in to collect, in and our 5 minutes. A really smooth and easy experience!

Amazing experience when applying for a Chinese visa. After having a negative experience when applying elsewhere in the past this was honestly so easy. I was in and out within 30 minutes, all members of staff were very helpful and made what can be a stressful experience very straight forward. Top tips for anybody applying in future. Ensure that you’ve read EVERYTHING online when applying so you know what to bring with you and what is required, this will speed your application time up massively. Be prepared to supply additional information on the day if required. Personally I printed all documents off just in case they were needed. A question I’ve seen asked a lot is if the centre offer a postal service to hand your passport back, they do! It costs a little extra but worth it if you’re not local to Manchester. It can take an additional 5-7 working days from when your visa has been granted/sent out so allow yourself plenty of time before your trip. Failing that, pay for the express service which should save you a few days!

The pretty girl at counter 2 for application was very professional and enthusiasm, 100% satisfied.the Lady at counter 8 was good, works quite fast. But she looks tired, not enjoying her work, no smile. There is still 20% room to improve. Toilet quite clean. anyway I am quite happy with the service.

Straightforward process at the Manchester centre and was in and out in 30 mins, let me explain the visa journey for those visiting or applying for the first time. You book your flight tickets and accommodation before applying for your visa, they need to know your travel details in advance to grant you a visa. You apply online which is the tricky part, you need to have information regarding your trip, passport, work history and family history. Once the online application is accepted (usually 24-48 hours). You then have to visit the centre in either Manchester or London (no appointment needed) with the confirmation print out of visa application complete, you hand over your passport and finger prints are taken as part of the application. You then have to wait another 2-3 days for visa to be ready. You can collect or have it posted out to you. I would strongly advise to apply 2-3 weeks before you travel, to allow for any complications. If you've visited Turkey in the last 12 months this may delay the outcome of your visa. Please factor this in or research online beforehand.

The process at the centre was smooth only taking around 30minutes from arrival. We had completed a tourist visa application online which took several attempts before reaching the stage of going to the centre. Photo recommend app to get the white background required, loaded our full itinerary onto word document with summary of dates then all relevant document screen shots added then attached as one document under flights and accommodation. This helped application get authorised so able to then go to centre to get visa, took up the return of passport via postal service rather than travelling back to collect. This has an additional charge

I leave this review because of the quick processing of applications and the friendly agent I dealt with. Any fuss could only be due to not providing the correct information for them to process your visa.

Most negative reviews on here are because people didn't read what you need to bring or because they didn't fill their application correctly. Assuming all that is right for me the centre was a breeze, took less than 30 mins of arriving and my passport was posted back within a week with the visa. One thing I would say though the website says to bring a photo if you couldn't upload it online. Bring the passport sized photo anyway as they require it even if you did managed to upload it. Luckily I brought mine but my friend had to use the photo booth for Β£6.

Assuming you have all your documentation the process is very swift and painless. We had an appointment booked for 1pm but truth is it doesn't seem to count for anything because it seems you can check in at anytime and get a ticket to wait. Do not forget to bring a recent passport photo! They still need them irrespective of the fact that you uploaded them when completing your online application. And also sign your completed application printout in the 2 places provided. Staff were very friendly, but expect short shrift if you adopt a privileged attitude with them because YOU did not read the requirements properly. We were in and out in 20 minutes despite it being packed.

If you have an appointment, great, but if you need a visa urgently and all the appointment slots are booked, then you're done for. The place itself is fine but the appointment booking process is not up to scratch and does not reflect how busy they are. If someone cancels their appointment, and you want that slot, the staff will request you to book via their website however you cannot physically book an appointment for the current day making it impossible to get a visa from here urgently. It was only with luck someone cancelled their slot for a future date that I were able to book an appointment.
