“Entrance to the UKVCAS centre is side of the building not through the St James Tower main entrance. There are plenty of parking spaces surrounding area. People are advised not go there early; they don’t have much waiting space inside. Only applicants are allowed to go inside. My wife had an appointment at 3:30 PM. We reached there 5 minutes before the appointment and receptionist let my wife in. It took 30 minutes to complete the process.”

“Straightforward process at the Manchester centre and was in and out in 30 mins, let me explain the visa journey for those visiting or applying for the first time. You book your flight tickets and accommodation before applying for your visa, they need to know your travel details in advance to grant you a visa. You apply online which is the tricky part, you need to have information regarding your trip, passport, work history and family history. Once the online application is accepted (usually 24-48 hours). You then have to visit the centre in either Manchester or London (no appointment needed) with the confirmation print out of visa application complete, you hand over your passport and finger prints are taken as part of the application. You then have to wait another 2-3 days for visa to be ready. You can collect or have it posted out to you. I would strongly advise to apply 2-3 weeks before you travel, to allow for any complications. If you've visited Turkey in the last 12 months this may delay the outcome of your visa. Please factor this in or research online beforehand.”

“Over the years we visited this consulate for different issues we needed to resolve. All, and by all I mean 101% of our visits were resolved by the kind and professional staff, sometimes was at the begining of the day, other times at the second part of the day. It did not matter, always we finished for what we visited for. The staff was always kind and professional, gave the logic explanations if something needed to be amended or done otherwise but always presented to us different options to our needs... We always went there prepared as advised during the booking through the system but the base thing for successfully finishing our visits was the friendly and professional staff. Sometimes they even stayed over the closing time just to resolve our situation. I do not know how other people be unsatisfied by the service probably they were visiting without the documents needed or without all persons implicated present. I did this mistake once , I understood my mistake but I couldn't blame the staff for it. If is legal and you have what is needed you will be served extraordinary by the staff and your issue will be resolved. Last visit was today, all of my requests were resolved in less than 40 minutes. I was informed that a Consulate opened in Birmingham so sadly I will not visit probably any more at Manchester. But as my experience in those 10 years with this place was so positive and excellent never say never, I can drive 2hrs for such a service.
