The room was ok, although the sink was slightly leaking and there was no toilet brush. The breakfast was very basic, but enough of everything. For me the location was good as it was close to the city center and to meeting location. The staff was very friendly.

I had a great overnight stay at ibis Manchester Centre Princess Street. The room was amazing — clean, comfortable, and exactly what I needed for a one‑night stop. Guests consistently rate the rooms highly for comfort and cleanlinessThe price was really good, especially for such a central location. The hotel is known for offering strong value for money, with guests rating it 10/10 for value

Stayed one night here this weekend, we stayed in a disabled room for some reason, must've been full. It was a decent size, can't really compare it to a standard room but there wasn't a chair for us to get ready, and there was only 1 bedside table. I almost pressed the alarm when I got up, as that is where the light switch would usually be. The room was moderate in terms of cleanliness. There were marks on the walls and a burn mark on the floor (105). Can't fault the staff, they were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good.

Was only in town for a night, Lina at reception was exceptional from the very beginning of our interaction to the end, she was extremely helpful with parking, helped me with a late checkout and other local amenities. Very pleasant and enjoyable stay thanks to her. The room was decent, bed was pleasant I had a good night's sleep for the next day after a 4 hour drive, well needed.

wonderful stay. Room was modern, comfortable, and more amenities than you might necessarily expect do the price. Didn’t even spend that much time in the hotel but it had a decent bar, breakfast and pool table downstairs. Excellent location right next to the station and trendy locations in Manchester. Plan on staying in this hotel every time I visit if I can

Hotel is in a good location, only a short walk from the train station. The hotel is undergoing renovation at the moment and my room smelt like a building site, of cement. But the breakfast was good. Even when breakfast opened at half six it was fully stocked with hot food, unlike the other ibis hotel nearby. The reception staff were friendly and if you're a member of the ibis loyalty scheme you get a free drink voucher on arrival. I would stay here again.

The staff were lovely and the room was nice and clean snd a decent size however some negatives were too much. The parking shown attached to the building is closed and apparently was never open. The hotel lobby looked like a run down hostel. They had major building works going on that were not advertised to us when we booked. Woke up to continuous drilling and banging that was not pleasant.

I only saw one comment mentionning this and only after I arrived here, but there is very loud construction work being done here (a sign on the lift that I saw after says it would be from August until December 22) and no one has told me before?! No mention of this online, not during the check-in (even if the staff was friendly), and I woke up around 8.30 morning thinking the workers were in the room next to mine because of how loud it was ! Very disappointed as I came here on a holyday and expected to rest plenty but the noise makes it impossible and if I had knew beforehand I would have picked another hotel of course. This is very unconsidered for the guests staying here and paying quite a price for not being able to rest and enjoy their room.

We woke on the first morning by extreme drilling outside our window at 8.30. No mention of this online at all, the manager didn’t even mention it when we checked in. I quickly pulled my clothes on and went to reception to talk to a member of staff about the noise. He said that management didn’t want to close the hotel and didn’t want to let customers know because they wouldn’t book. We did discover a notice in the lift about the work right up in the top corner well above eye level, and past the reception so you’ve already checked in and can’t run. Anyway, after the staff member tried to calm us down he told us they would try to help us transfer to another hotel but the prices would be higher and that we wouldn’t get a refund either for the first night, actually not even a complementary breakfast was offered to us. In fact he tried to reason with us and said look they won’t be drilling on the Saturday morning until 11am and you’ll be out probably shopping?! So that should be ok. This member of staff had to keep popping into the managers office for advice because the manger couldn’t even be bothered to come out and chat to us. The work is carrying on here so I would be cautious of staying here. Apparently it’s cladding work really important and customers should understand that when your woke at 8.30 by extreme drilling until 3pm in the afternoon. The worse hotel I’ve ever stayed in, Ibis management you money grabbing …..! Shocking.

This hotel does what it needs to - a place to sleep and shower. Reception staff where mostly friendly. A few issues/concerns… - There is no security to the building after hours. Other hotels you have to use your key card to access the building or use the lift. Anyone can get in here. I didn’t always feel safe here. - It was really noisy. We went in a Friday and Saturday night. Even with the window shut, you could hear all the clubs and bars outside. - The bed was rock hard. You have not get one pillow each, so had to ask for more. Front desk bought more pillows up in minutes of asking. - Room was not serviced during the day. Did don’t expect a full turn down, but no fresh towels or tea/coffee. Again, had to ask but was bought up by front desk in minutes. - The shower leaked, the sink appeared blocked and drained really slowly. Sometimes smelt. - The room was clean, but needs some maintenance. Peeling paint on windows, stained sealant in bathroom. - Air conditioning blew hot air out, even on lowest setting. - Scaffolding and building works going in during the daytime. Mostly didn’t bother us as we were out, but due to medical condition I needed to rest in the afternoon, but it was not peaceful and was unable to fully rest. The building work was not made aware to us when making the booking 1 week before our stay. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’d book here again. It wasn’t worth the £350 for 2 nights. 2 stars are for the excellent staff on front desk.
