Very large party for a xmas family gathering. They very kindly made it very special for us with our own area and table decorated lovely. The children even had a little visit from the grinch ha ha. Good xmas food with a reasonable price
Love going over the Brierley Hop House during lunch at work or whilst visiting Merry Hill shopping. Staff are great and friendly. Food is tasty. Lovely canal setting especially in the summer. Keep up the good work Tanya and team!!
Visited the Brierley hop house today ( 19th October) and what a beautiful place it is. The atmosphere is lovely. Chloe and Elisha who were bar staff were lovely and recommend food dishes that were popular. We ended up having fish and chips hunters chicken and chips and a cowboy burger. The food came very quickly very well presented and hot thanks to Ellie the chef. We also asked a young girl named Angel for a drinks menu and she brought one over to us. Very useful and can even pay and order to table. Would definitely recommend coming to the Brierley hop house for a few drinks and some food very satisfied
My family hired out the hop house function room for me for my baby shower. We had such a lovely day! The room is great for parties and events. Was able to do own catering and set up the room however we wanted. It’s a lovely, light room, views of the canal and has two areas for guests/food/dj etc so it’s fab. They provided all our guests with a free day pass for parking also which was super helpful. I was able to play music through my Bluetooth speaker. Keira (bar staff) was fabulous and so helpful - thank you Keira, you’re a star. I would definitely recommend booking events/parties here. I have visited the hop house pub many times over the past couple of years for food/drinks also, it’s a friendly, down to earth pub and has a nice atmosphere, enjoyable pub grub and a good selection of drinks. Nice place for a catch up with friends/family and has outdoor seating also which is nice when the weather is nice. Allows dogs to go also which is great when I’ve got the fur baby with me. we booked breakfast with Santa for a large group. It was absolutely fantastic, Santa spent loads of time with every single child, coming round tables and when receiving gift, each child had their own individual gift with their name on it. Breakfast was lovely. Whole experience was wonderful. Best Breakfast with Santa we have been to over the years. A big well done and thank you to all the staff and we will definately be back next year
We had our works do here last night and had a great evening! Food was beautiful and excellent value and What a lovely staff team who looked after us all night. Thank you to Donna and staff! And thank you Mr DJ for the great entertainment!
I attended this evening for a festive meal with friends. The food was amazing and by far the best festive menu I’ve had. The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Ill definitely be visiting again very soon!
Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. The car park asks you to pay but if you scan the code in the pub and put in vehicle reg, you get parking for free. Food was tasty and had a good pub menu, with steak, burgers etc. I had hunters chicken and my friend had a steak and ale pie. Its a nice location by the waterfront and in a 5 minute driving distance of the shopping centre and cinema.
I visit the Hop House weekly normally on a Saturday. I can honestly say that the beer is good and cheap, the food is 8 on 10 and the staff and management are always a pleasure and very helpful. All in all the pub is very well run and clean and i would definitely recommend it to anyone...
