Really lovely bagel shop. The staff were very efficient and nice even when very busy. The place was packed with people queuing for the delicious food. We got a seat in the window and it was very cosy.

A busy spot and I can see why ... the bagels are freshly baked and filled with amazing produce. Ive tried the chicken cesar and the salt beef and loved both! The everything bagel and salt pretzel bagel are delicious. It's a relatively small space so there us always a queue but we've always managed to get a table. The staff are so friendly and full of recommendations. Can't wait for my next visit.

Simply outstanding bagels. Had the salt beef to eat in, and a pain au raisin. Coffee is solid. I also bought 6 to take away. Froze them to eat ad hoc. The flavour on the bagels is extraordinary. All the seasonings are good. I just wish this place was closer to where I lived.

First time trying slow rise bakery today and I got the salt beef bagel. The salt beef was amazing. This has definitely become my regular place.

Delicious bagels! There was a queue to get in (Sunday, 12pm) so you know it has to be decent. I might not like to eat in at that time as there was a constant stream of customers coming in which made it quite busy but Iβm sure itβs lovely to sit when itβs more peaceful. We got the salt beef and the smoked salmon bagels. Some of the best weβve had. Would recommend!

We have been going to Slow Rise for about 2 1/2 years now and I have never had a bad experience! Consistently delicious bagels, cakes and coffees and always friendly service. Youβve done such an amazing job Nick and Nerys. Genuinely my favourite breakfast or lunch spot in Leeds.

Fantastic bagels. The pastrami one is probably the best in my opinion. You can even pop in to buy plain, unfilled bagels to take away with you. Excellent pastries and cakes too. Great for sitting in or take away. I'd have taken a photo but I'm always more interested in eating the bagels... Update Dec 2022: still amazing! Again the bagels are too tasty for me to have bothered taking a photo. Today I got slices of spiced orange and almond cake for my partner and I; incredibly moist and tasty. Highly recommend!

Slow Rise is consistently busy β and for good reason: it's a testament to everything that makes a great bakery more than just a bakery. They sell plain and filled bagels, a small selection of cakes, a few drinks, and that's it. And why dilute that when you've got your offering down to a fine art? The pictures are from two separate visits. The pastrami bagel with more filling is actually the latest one, if you can believe it. So much for shrinkflation!

Absolutely LOVE this place. You are greeted with a smile and service from a bright and bubbly team as soon as you arrive. If you have children with you careful attention is given to their needs such as not too much chocolaty filling, cut into smaller pieces, additional napkins and straws...... Without even being asked! My little one thought she was a minor celebrity! And that definitely helped me to relax. As for the bagels... Absolutely amazing! I could eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
