Table of 12 as a family get together for our daughter's 20th birthday. Waited a long time to order. Very small portion of meat on 1 roast dinner (staff provided more). Roast beef was very dry and tough with lots of gristle. Barely edible. When we complained we were brought a plate of freshly cooked beef which was extremely rare and looked very unappetising. Consequently only a small amount of this was eaten by ourselves (but the large dog at the table next to us enjoyed the rest). Subsequently we were offered complimentary desserts for those who had ordered the beef but disappointingly these never arrived. We received the child's dessert we'd ordered but 30 minutes later still hadn't received the adult desserts. When we queried this, we were told that they had been cancelled off the bill at the till and this had also cancelled them in the kitchen. Unfortunately, the kitchen staff were not told that the desserts still needed to be prepared and so we never received them. Overall, our experience was very disappointing, especially as it was meant to be a celebratory meal. We last visited many years ago and were disappointed then. It's a shame that things haven't improved and we won't be recommending The Dog.

Great pub and especially the service from staff. Booking up is easy online. And confirmed via a text to say I was still coming. The table (all) are super clean and glasses too. Lovly outside beer garden to enjoy!

We haven't visited The Dog at Harvington for years but we will definitely be returning soon. The service was amazing and good delicious. We had mixed grill and duo of lamb followed by apple and cherry crumble with custard and chocolate brownie with ice cream. Everything was amazing. We enjoyed our evening at The Dog. Thank you

Last minute stop off for Sunday Lunch, squeezed in between bookings, served quickly, pleasantly and efficiently by Aleece. Tasty food delivered speedily. Very happy with every aspect of our quick visit

Okay from the road thats why we pulled in but. We were greeted by a Tattooed body pieced person who did not portray the image of a Brewery Owned Pub. The other staff were friendly but did not clear or clean our dirty table. We chose to sit outside. O dear complete lack of attention to detail of the garden and patio area. We had to sit amidst clouds of cigarette smoke. I thought they had to be in a separate area if they want to kill themselves. The food was high price for average fair. Won't bother again as better to be found elsewhere. I did get a reply it was the same as usual they will not talk openly and want me to use email where communications are hidden from general view of other reviewers.

Food was good but chips was not triple cooked,so it was not crispy soft as the way I expected. Abit dissapointed as we were arranged to sit next to the radiator where was quite warm and dark. The price was cheaper when we have checked google review so here you go, the updated menu and prices.

We had lunch at this dog friendly pub. The staff were absolutely brilliant! The two ladies and young man who looked after us were very friendly and helpful and made us feel extremely welcome. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. There is a choice of eating in the bar (dogs allowed) or the restaurant. Thoroughly recommend this pub if you want to eat or just have a drink.
