Wednesday 3rd December- lunch time ish I visited Caffè Nero for the first time today and was served by a lovely girl in a “barista in training” top, with two front pieces of hair framing her face. I ordered a large hazelnut latte, and honestly, it was the best drink I’ve ever had. Perfectly made, great quality coffee, and absolutely delicious. I wasn’t expecting any fancy latte art since she’s still training, but the foam was beautifully smooth and glossy—almost like paint gloss—with the coffee sitting perfectly around the crema. While she was steaming the milk for my drink, she even turned around to take the next few orders behind me, and yet she still made me feel seen and looked after. I never felt overlooked for a second, which says a lot about her confidence and multitasking skills. Her service was 100% spot on: friendly, quick, warm, and full of smiles. She made my first visit genuinely unforgettable, and I’d recommend her to anyone—actually, I’d even recommend her to my own manager at work. It’s clear she’s training and working towards the black top I’ve seen her team members on shift wearing ( lad with brown hair and girl with red platted hair) She’s well on her way; an absolute credit to the store. I came to Huddersfield today to visit family, and as a barista myself at Starbucks (five years and counting), I have genuinely high hopes for this girl. She’s thriving, and she has something special that can’t be taught.

My friend and I attended on a Saturday evening. My friend is vegan so she was delighted that she was able to have a sweet treat as it's not often cafes offer vegan options. Beth and Alex (the baristas on shift) were so helpful and hospitable. The space was tidy. The coffee is great and my friend agreed as she's never had cafe a Caffè Nero coffee before. She'll be a regular customer going forward ☺️

Me and my father come weekly into cafe Nero in Huddersfield and we have never had a bad experience. Alex is one of the most amazing people , always makes our day- recommendations on drinks ( our new favourite strawberry milkshake) , my dad who has mobility issues has never struggled here with staff being so attentive. Also 10/10 on service so quick and yummy drinks .

A sweet Caffe Nero with fresh desserts and well-prepared coffee. The service is also very good and the staff is friendly. However, unfortunately the furniture is very worn and feels unclean. This situation may be good to change as it affects the coffee pleasure.

My partner and I recently visited Nero cafe in Huddersfield city centre and had a truly delightful experience. We both ordered decaf cortados, and the quality of the coffee was exceptional—rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. What truly stood out during our visit, however, was the excellent service provided by Alex. From the moment we arrived, Alex was both friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome and well taken care of. The atmosphere in the cafe was also pleasant, creating a comfortable space to relax and enjoy our drinks. Overall, it was a memorable visit, and we’re looking forward to returning. If you’re in Huddersfield and in search of a great cup of coffee paired with excellent service, Nero cafe is definitely worth a visit.

A great cafe. It's nicely laid out and presents a relaxed atmosphere. Quieter than its immediate neighbour and more chilled. Now its part of the Meerkats offer, you can get money off handmade coffees and pastries (croissants and similar, in a wicker basket next to the counter). Only downside is that the downstairs area isn't larger - with the number of disabled customers, I think we could fill it twice over! I've never been upstairs, but there is an upstairs seating area.

Staff on Monday morning on the 17th was so rude! Gave me someone else’s drink and then made it out like I was wrong! The large hot chocolate was coke and my friend orders a salted caramel latte and had no syrup. Her attitude stinks. She has brown hair. I enjoy coming in cafe Nero all the time but that women makes me not want to come back! SO RUDE and can’t do her job

Best mainstream coffee shop imo. Great choice of coffee, food, snacks, cold drinks, iced drinks etc. The interior is really rustic and cozy with a spacious upstairs seating area. Overall it's a great place to grab a coffee and just chill.
