   Good shop for getting items but they don’t have a lot of stock from what they sell online so finding the thing you’re looking for it can be disappointing because they don’t always have the item in stock apart from that problem it is a good shop for men’s and women’s clothes.

   Need to clean their changing rooms. Filthy floors. I do not think these shops bother to make their changing rooms attractive anymore. Just a mess. I don't want to change and put my own clothes down in such a dirty changing room. Do not concentrate on the shop front, clean the changing rooms.

   Terrible customer service today. May 16th 2024 @ 10:15am went to store to collect and online order had multiple members of staff blocking the walkway because they were having a chat. Tried to walk round them to get to the till but there was a large display so had to go back the other way and walk around them. All seemed disinterested to help. Wouldn't move out the way or create a path after I had said excuse me. So rude. Then the till clerk was just the same sour face, same disinterested attitude. Will not be visiting that store again. I hope they get audited and misery shopped.

   I have just left the Bromley branch VERY DiSAPPOINTED! Let me start by saying I never shop in River Island! However a week ago I found a pair of shoes which were perfect to wear to dinner for my birthday. Much to my disappointment these shoes were a death trap slipping on every surface that I stepped on I spent the whole evening walking like a penguin just to avoid death! So I rightfully decided to return the the shoes since they were un usable! I entered the Bromley branch shortly after collecting my son from school joined the line and waited my turn to be served. Whilst waiting two members of staff were behind us me and my 10 year old son talking about “a girl being forced into a bathroom and her head stuck down a toilet” automatically I assumed that these were just young students employees being unprofessional. Moving on it was my turn to be served so unexplained my issue and the young lady proceeded to call her manager the (store manager) much to my surprise it was one of the two ladies that had been having the inappropriate conversation behind us GREAT. She out right refused to refund me because they had been worn not considering the fact that they were un wearable. She then decided to make statements such as “they should have been tried on in store” a very condescending comment as if to say it was a policy to try everything on before you buy! She then said that “if it’s just my pair of shoes with this issue and not the rest then it’s not a problem of river islands” So before I even have a chance to speak to customer service she has made a statement on the company’s position regarding this case. She then went on to confirm that she has authority to refund the item should she ‘personally’ want to and in the circumstance she did not want to! - which automatically confirms that she can make a decision based on who the customer is without dealing with all customers the same with complete fairness and integrity. Following the experience received by this unqualified unprofessional Store Manager I began questioning whether her decision was based on me being a 31 year old mixed race man in my gym tracksuit with my 10 year old mixed race son! Was I profiled? Or was this just terrible customer service? Lastly I can only identify the employee as the store manager as she claimed that she did not need to provide me with her name due to GDPR (which may I confirm for this individual providing your name is not covered by GDPR)

   I went to return some items and they were 2 days out for the 28 day refund which is fair enough. I thought that I would be able to exchange or receive the amount on a gift card. The manager told me that I basically had to keep the clothes. Obviously they were being returned for a reason.She told me that It states that on the receipt. It only states that you can get a full refund if the clothes are returned within 28 days. This store is a joke!

   Love shopping in River island at all branches UNTIL I come across the BROMLEY branch!! Young girls in there are so rude and they all have attitude problems and they sit around talking having a mothers meeting when they're meant to be working and they give customers dirty looks and they're not very helpful when you ask them information on the clothing. You have to wait 10 minutes for someone to come to the till especially on a Saturday when its meant to be one of the busiest days!! Avoid at all cost and give your buisness to Zara they are all lovely and much more helpful than this horrible place run by ignorant and rude staff. I was gonna bite my tongue and not say a thing but these girls hopefully will get a call from their management as its not the first time that someone has had a bad experience with this Branch.

   Reasonable prices. Pleasant staff member in menswear. Full range of sizes not available when visited and only a single changing room open, meant having to wait. Hopefully this will improve.

   I love the clothes in here but never enjoy my shopping experience. Size 14s are few and far between and the staff aren't particularly friendly. I just bought a top in here but bought a dress in hobbs where the service was simply wonderful and made me smile and want to go back.. Maybe Hobbs pay there staff more..
