A Marston's pub left in time....nice and friendly and good service but it was like going back to the 1970's. It's certainly missed out on a few refurbishments over the years.

Not been here since 1983! Don't get me wrong, I just don't go in pubs anymore. When I did frequent the sportsman back in the 80's I always had a good time. Nothing against the sportsman.
What a great pub! A proper 2 room boozer, with pool darts and fantastic prices! Really friendly staff and great chat with the locals. They don't make pubs like this any more! 3 Bulmers for £9 too! Fantastic value! I'll be back!

Two good sized room, one has a pool table. Lots of different drinks available, I recommend the Guinness. The landlord is friendly and attentive.
