Just spent our 2nd time at The Bird in Hand, we stopped in room 1, lovely room, with a gorgeous view of the canal. We received a warm welcome, it was my 60th and the team had decorated the room, with a birthday card. A wonderful surprise. We had a brilliant breakfast in the morning. Thank you, for a wonderful stay.
I asked Google for places to eat it gave me this pub. Checked reviews and overall looked good. Typical pub sign outside said food. Went in, few people sitting together obviously friends, 1 lady stood up and asked if she could help and I asked if they were still serving food, it was just before 8pm. She was quite abrupt and said no. In a friendly manner I said oh Google said you do,she replied "ye well Googles wrong we haven't served food in 2 years. Not much I could say to that so I left!!!
As a b and b i cant fault it . Rooms were very clean and had everything i needed . Breakfast was fantastic . They dont do meals so you have to eat elsewhere or get just eat . The bar needs some money spending but the staff and locals were great . Its a nice place to stay if you a working away
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My now fiancé booked The Bird in Hand for my birthday after our visit to West Midlands Safari Park, and it couldn’t have been more perfect – especially as it’s where we celebrated our engagement! We’d never been to the area before, but it was honestly the loveliest stay. The view, the accommodation, the service, the breakfast, and the staff were all incredible. My fiancé and I are very fussy, but we didn’t need to be here – the bedroom was spotless, tidy, and had everything we needed (even a fan, which we really appreciated!). We were also given great local recommendations for dinner, and the one we tried was pure perfection. Breakfast the next morning was exquisite – again, we’re picky when it comes to food, but it was faultless. From start to finish, it was amazing value for money, with a perfect view and a beautiful walk down to the pub that made the whole experience even more special. This is now our new favourite place, and we can’t wait to come back for our anniversary to celebrate again!
Lovely clean room bathroom spotless great view of the canal in the morning on the deck chairs provided with a nice coffee supplied in the room great cobs what's not to enjoy also a kitchenette and dining area lovely place and lovely people who run we was even allowed an early check in thank you

Excellent location, excellent food, excellent beers and lovely staff. I would highly recommend!!
Very friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Good beers and range of gins. Allows dogs which is a big bonus. Hadn't time for food but having seen it served up will definitely be back to try the food.

Clean, friendly,kids & dogs welcome, reasonably priced pub. Can enjoy a lovely beer garden or sit out the front by the canal watching the world go by.
