Had a fantastic meal here tonight! The chicken wings were delicious, and my medium-well steak was cooked to perfection – juicy, flavorful, and exactly how I like it. The chips were lovely, crisp on the outside and soft inside, and everything came out piping hot. For dessert, I had the chocolate cake with ice cream – served warm and absolutely delicious. The service was excellent all round. Zoe, the barmaid, was especially friendly and helpful, and the other barmaid and waitress were also very attentive and welcoming. They really made the evening even more enjoyable. Overall, we were all very satisfied and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!

Always a friendly, pleasant atmosphere. Well prepared, good value and enjoyable pub food. The beers in particular are excellent. And dog friendly with water to hand. I’ve never had anything but a good experience here. Recommended.

Great, sun trap beer garden (courtyard), and excellent Neville ales on tap. We'd have liked to try the food but sadly arrived just after they finished their lunch service.

Visited as a party of 8 to celebrate a birthday. Excellent beer, and great choice of it. Food was relatively expensive and mediocre at best. Watresses were lovely. But the room was SO cold! That was the worst thing. Overall just OK, won't be rushing back

Top notch food, staff and setting - not a bad word to say! The food is reasonably priced for great quality and went the extra mile when one of our party wanted just a scotch egg from the bar for her starter and it was presented as a proper starter, it was a great touch.

Lovely old fashioned unpretentious pub / restaurant offering excellent value food in a lovely setting supported by friendly staff. We both had the beef lasagne with salad and home prepared fries all of which was excellent for £11.50. They even did a fillet steak for £16.00 which I'll try next time.

Such a wonderful country pub that offers delicious food and well kept beer. Run by a fantastic couple Dan and Aimee, equalled by amazing staff, who always make you feel welcome. Highly recommended.

Stopped at the Cat while visiting the area. As the weather was nice we sat outside, a pleasant space with tables well spaced out. Ordered drinks, starters and mains for 4. Service was reasonably good, and no complaints about the food. Only comment is the packet sauces really let the place down, other then that everybody (including the dog) enjoyed the visit.
