    Very disappointing experience with this company we paid for a professional installation for a dash cam it was installed incorrectly and I've been too the store 3 times since to resolve it and now have to come back a 4 time because they only have one guy who can do the job and he's the same guy that did it wrong the first time. We was told he was in today but went home and hour before closing. Tried calling ahead several times without any luck spent hours trying to sort this issue with the traffic around Ventura at xmas. I only brought this specific camera for anti vandalism and they installed it in way that it powers off within 5 mins and parking mode doesn't work not what you expect when you've spent over £300.

    Popped into Halfords Tamworth Ventura today and had brilliant service. Laura is an absolute legend — tested my battery, checked the current properly, fitted a new one on the spot and even sorted me a great deal. She also got me signed up to the Motoring Club which saved me even more. Proper expert service and really friendly. Highly recommended!

    I purchased a car booster seat last Thursday and was served by a very aloof rude uninterested older woman. I asked as I was a member if I got any points by giving my email address. She just said do you pay £5 a month? I said no and in disgust put through the £25. I wanted the same car seat and purchased it again from my local store. Wow! The difference. A car seat safety form was filled out, my email address taken which my 2 year guarantee came through, for the same seat with no guarantee. Also got £5 off. Avoid Tamworth store if you want the correct customer service!

    I had a brilliant experience yesterday in Halfords having my new dash cam hardwired by Nigel. Nigel couldn't of been more helpful and friendly and carried out the job efficiently and professionally. He went on to explain everything to me thoroughly and has reassured me I can call on him again if needed. I would recommend this service to everyone.

    An Unacceptable Experience – Incompetence and Poor Communication from Start to Finish After multiple failed attempts by the Halfords team to install a simple head unit into my vehicle, I feel compelled to share just how frustrating and disappointing this entire experience has been. From the outset, communication was abysmal. From booking in an appointment to which I turned up to but the “technician” had gone home, to rescheduling appointments and trying to make sense of vague, inconsistent explanations. On more than one occasion, I was promised phone calls back from the “customer service” team and appointments booked only to arrive and discover your team wasn’t prepared or hadn’t even sourced the correct parts. Despite having my car in for multiple visits, the “technicians”were unable to complete what should have been a routine installation. No one took ownership, no one followed through, and clearly, no one had the necessary competence to resolve the issue. The lack of professionalism and accountability was staggering. The most infuriating part? I ended up installing the unit myself. It took me less than an hour—without any of the delays, confusion, or excuses I encountered from the so-called “specialists”. That alone speaks volumes about Halfords capabilities. They did compensate me for wasted time & fuel. However, I’ll never set foot in one of those stores for the rest of my days. This was a complete waste of my time and trust. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for anything requiring even a basic level of technical skill or customer service.

    Really bad service! Never got the sound system fitted! Not sure what happened. Phoned many times via the contact centre. Think the radio wasn't ordered correctly, the fittings were ordered. Then we were told to try Nuneaton store, ordered again. Promised updates nothing has happened! It's been about 6 weeks with no progress report. Given up now! Halfords your losing money!

    Absolutely clueless staff. Went into the Tamworth store to get a jump starter. Was shown a selection that I would consider by an assistant who advised that I should take the box to the checkout when I was ready to purchase. Did this but was told that the one I had chosen wasn’t in stock. The exact same one that the previous assistant had brought over and demonstrated !! Well where had it gone??? I was told that they had the next model up but this was an additional £50. Went home and ordered the one I wanted from Amazon at 20% less than Halfords. Next time I need something automotive, I’ll just go straight to the web or Euro Car Parts. Cannot believe what an amateurish service Halfords Tamworth provide.

    Thought I'd take the risk of the Halfords lucky dip with the dash cam fitting, didn't want to attempt a hardwire myself as I wouldn't sleep at night If I messed it up. The team member was very particular and I found that reassuring. Camera wasn't suctioned on good as it fell over when I got home (cloudy day) all I had to do was change the angle so it wasn't half my bonnet and stick it back to the screen. Overall no complaints for the price.
