   I had a very good experience. My appointment was at 11am, I arrived 15 minutes earlier and was done by 11:30. You need to show your appointment confirmation (no problem if its not printed and is only digital on your phone) in order to join a queue. A staff member will check your passport and your email confirmation, and will hand you a ticket with a number. You will join another queue and be called at a counter. I have personally chosen the self-service option and uploaded all of my documents ahead of the appointment. I was pleasantly surprised with the self-service machine, super quick and easy and the overall process took me less than 5 minutes. Staff was very nice.

   I took my father here to have his biometrics done and in all honesty looking at the reviews I was feeling anxious but the whole experience was all good. Security lady at the door was polite, the girl who checked us in was also polite alongside the staff once you get in there. Just remember no phones on display unless your showing them your appointment letter or documents. & Also parking is a little tricky if you do not hold a disabled badge.

   Most strangest service I saw in UK! The security company sucks! No smile, shouting on people. No smiling, they are so stressful people. You can't join family member inside even your wife or mother to help them with child… Everything cost money! 25£ care - 3£ SMS - 1 each paper print.

   Whilst their website is outdated, convoluted and incoherent, the institute itself is not. There is a short wait and the staff, whilst blunt, are helpful. It is a professional yet efficient business so expect no consolation for incorrectly filled out forms.
