Fantastic little cafe, lovely service and really good food and drink. Purchased the Dubai Frappe and a strawberry muffin, both lovely! Super friendly staff and quick service.

Saturday 22nd March (4pm). Called in today to pick up some buns. Just at the front counter deciding what to have, saw the side shutter down and at first thought they were closing. Asked the woman behind the counter, she said no we're open it's says so on that sign right in front of your face! 1st part of rude service that didn't stop there. Started to choose the buns we wanted I was stood at the front glass counter again, she was looking at the till. Had to shout out which ones we wanted. Couldn't point to them as she wasn't looking, acted like we were an inconvenience. Told her I wanted the first easter bunny bun and the different one behind it. Was told they aren't different it's just the colour case they're in. Twice she tried to tell me they were the same. They may have had the same chocolate bunny on them but definitely were different toppings! She was adamant they weren't. Maybe she should have looked first before being rude. (See attached photo)! Just very argumentative from start to finish. I dont understand why you would want anyone with her attitude serving customers. Definitely shouldn't be front of house. Maybe some customer service training is required. We were nothing but polite, pity she wasnt the same. Not the only ones to voice this by the looks of it. Would be sad to lose customers because of this person.

I have no idea what this place actually is, but it isn’t a “coffee shop” by the 21st century definition of it. If you ask for a Flat White, you just get coffee topped up with milk like at your grandmas. On another occasion I asked for a Cappuccino instead and it just tasted like those packet ones you get from the supermarket. If I’m really desperate now and passing I’ll get a latte as the only one it seems like they actually know how to make. There’s a young blond haired girl who’s always friendly and tries to serve as fast as possible, the rest seem like they can’t be bothered or are very slow. I imagine they are all being paid worst-in-class wages. If you want to go to a “ ‘caf “ emulating food and drink standards from the 1930’s, this is probably your best bet.

Worst cappachino I have ever had just hot milk and no coffee , won't be going back the coffee in McDonald's is far better and cheaper

The girl that served me today didn't even look at me. She never asked what I wanted just stared at the till. The Americano coffee that sister had was like water with no taste at all. There was 2 girls behind the counter. They both looked unkempt and their hair was a mess. I do not usually complain but as I have used the cafe for years I was shocked at the service.

We had 2 lovely hot chocolate drinks with cream and 2 toasted teacakes today. The teacake had a lovely cinnamon flavour. They gave us three butter squares each. A relaxing comfy seat looking at the beautiful Christmas decorations and lights. Cost just over £11.00
