Got a jumper here another day and was very pleased with the service and the product I received. Unfortunately, didn't get a name of the gentleman who assisted me, but he was very polite and offered me alterations advice on some items I already had.

APPAULING and would not recommend. A formal complaint will be submitted. I purchased my wedding suit from Hackett and cannot believe such a crucial detail was rushed and neglected, especially given the amount of money a made-to-measure suit cost. The first appointment (where payment was taken) was excellent. The staff went into detail about my preferences and helped me make decisions. After that, everything fell apart. I had made it explicitly clear that my wedding was in 9 weeks from purchase and there was no time to waste. At the initial consultation, I was told the trousers could be altered in 20 minutes once I brought my shoes in. I returned with my shoes, spent time with another staff member to get the correct fitting, only to then be told to come back over a week later, after the date I had said we would be leaving for the wedding. When I pushed back, pointing out the urgency, I was reassured by the staff member that the alterations would be completed in time. When I visited the store yesterday, the clerk initially told me the trousers hadn’t been finished. Seeing my frustration, he checked again and then assured me they had in fact been amended. Foolishly, I trusted him and didn’t try them on in store. Having now tried the suit on at home, I discovered the trousers have not been altered at all and remain far too baggy. It’s clear the clerk panicked, quickly asked the in-house tailor to roll them up, and misled me. Now, just three days before my wedding, I am left £1,700 out of pocket with trousers that do not fit. I am being forced to scramble for another tailor at the last minute to fix what Hackett should have delivered as promised. This is an absolute disgrace. I am furious and will be escalating this further.

I was very impressed by the service provided by the staff - Perry and Mitchell in particular. Myself and a friend came in seeking to be measured up for suits that would ultimately be bought in Australia (meaning no business for Hackett). The staff were very friendly and helpful. They advised that it wasn't a service they provide (even though we offered to pay) but given we were in a bind they said they could provide us a set of measurements that, although each tailor needs different measurements, could be used to help out and they offered to do it for free. This was the fourth suit shop we had asked to help with all of the others being unhelpful and saying it wasn't possible (despite one of the shops having measured me in the past for their own suits). This sort of customer service and assistance is exactly why I'm now returning to Hackett to buy my new work and leisure suits. Definitely don't go expecting to get free measurements, but know that the staff will be as helpful as they can be to sort you with what you need.

Great store! Toulouse was incredibly helpful and hand-delivered a pair of trousers to my door as I had to get them last-minute. Highly recommend, brilliant staff and excellent clothing.

Had absolute awful bully service. Entered the store with my fiancé today - was greeted by a gentleman. We asked him to be shown some navy suits options. He abruptly asked what suit we wanted. We tried to explain we weren’t sure about styles and he said we needed to show him a photo or he wouldn’t know what to show us. I thought that was very off because as a good sales associate wouldn’t you show the customer the different styles and walk them through it all? Then he went to the most expensive suit in the store of over £900 and was very pushy & intense. After trying the suit on - he kept pushing about the shoes and we explained we have shoes already that we bought with us to try with the suits. As soon as we got the shoes out the color didn’t match and he starting saying how the shoes we had were too basic & causal and that you never wear brown shoes with navy suits and saying this is an expensive suit you don’t wear with those shoes etc. - the shoes I had were expensive leather brown shoes. And kept yelling at us about the shoes & had 2 black pairs of Hackett shoes in his hands saying that it’s your wedding day you need to wear shoes like these. Even asked us when we bought our shoes saying that we should return them. Was disgusting and humiliating. Was the most awful experience we sat there in shock not knowing what to say. It was 1:20 pm on Monday. Then asked if we wanted to buy the £900+ within 10 minutes of trying it on and his face dropped when we said no - then he just walked away and said have a nice day in a rude tone. Was the worst service and experience I’ve ever had - leaving my fiancé in tears. He even looked like a manager or GM by the way he was dressed. I hope this matter is looked into no matter his status within the company to save another person from this man’s service.

Amazing, Julian and Georgia were fast, efficient and extremely helpful in finding my wedding suit. An absolute breeze in what i thought would be an extremely cumbersome experience. I would definitely come back, just for these 2 staff members. Managers/Directors must see their talent and give them a raise! Thanks both!

Horrible service. We went in saying we were getting ideas for a suit and the salesperson immediately said they could make a suit for us before even asking what we were looking for. We told her about a suit that we had seen that we liked and without trying to help us she just repeatedly told us we couldn’t get a suit like that because the material would be too hot. “No way, definitely not.” We hadn’t asked for her opinion on the material and instead of trying to help us find something she just repeatedly told us we couldn’t get what we wanted. Absolutely useless and clearly they don’t need or want customers because they did everything they could to show that they were unwilling to help us.

Appalling experience here. Clueless, probably underpaid, probably underqualified staff). Changed so much from the good old days of Hackett (when they were not a big chain). Example today: I have a Hackett navy suit, where the trousers often get worn out faster than the suit jacket. My job requires that I'm in court every day, and I'm often up and down on cheap courtroom seats, wearing out trousers quickly. I have replaced just the trousers before, with no issue. Today, I was told that my type of suit could not be sold as individuals. I told staff I had purchased the trousers individually before, they just ignored this and repeated that they were not allowed to sell separately. I asked what customers should do when one part of a suit wears out before the other, and they just shrugged their shoulders. I decided then that it was a hopeless case, and the idea of giving any money to Hackett became rather unappealing. Big chains like TM Lewin have better staff, are cheaper, and they don't pretend to be something they are not. Hackett pretend to be something more. They are not. If you are on a budget go to TM Lewin/Charles Tyrwitt. If you have money go to a proper tailors (there are plenty of good ones nearby in this part of London). I will never buy anything from Hackett again.

Called up to check availability for a jacket. Staff kindly put a M and a L to one side for me. Staff helped me pick correct fit for me. Paid with a discount, left with a stunning jacket in less than 10 mins. Could not have been a better experience 10/10
