    I had the pleasure of breaking down in my van opposite the royal oak, after being secure in the knowledge that I was being towed back home I enjoyed a couple of pints while awaing my recovery. 10 / 10 would get 'stranded' at the royal oak again with friendly staff, patrons & a cute dog named Buddy. Pub was immaculate and getting ready for halloween, I wish this was my local.

    No food, so can't review. Lovely to see new tenants at The Royal Oak. Refurbished to a very high standard. Good beer, good prices. We will be back soon. Wishing the team at The Royal Oak all the best to a successful tenancy.

    The room we stayed in for 1 night (room 3) was so reasonably priced and we were both surprised at what we got for our money. It was clean, tidy and had comfortable beds. We had plenty of tea and coffee in the room , and soap, shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom. I can't fault anything. It didn't do food, but lots of cafes nearby. I will be coming back again when I next need to stay in Wetherby. Thank you Royal Oak. !

    We left some valuable items and when calling 2 days later they had secured them anticipating our call. We appreciate their honest and very hospitable staff. Nice pub with friendly locals.

    Stayed 1 night. BEWARE. AWFUL. would rate it less than 1 star. taps on wash basin broken.and shower broken. shabby room with dubious colour grey/brown towels and brown/green check bedding! not white bedding although shows this on website. Cheerful landlord.

    A rare proper, down to earth pub. There is always someone friendly to talk to. The best beer garden in Wetherby with its own resident chickens. A favourite for dog walkers as they are all welcome.
