Really excellent food! Unusual to find such well cooked vegetables in a restaurant let alone a pub, and the rump of lamb was delicious. Others in my family had fish and chips which was equally good!
Traditional pub with a great atmosphere and landlords who know very good beer and food! The menu is excellent, great portions and quality. Always a great atmosphere here with lovely friendly people. Definitely recommend, a hidden gem.
Lunch time sandwiches very good. Wouldn't bother paying extra for the chips - £2 for seven chips, wasn't worth putting on the fryer. Why so stingy on an inexpensive item?, was going to come back next time in the area but won't bother now.
Friendly staff & a very calm atmosphere. The belly pork with mash & veg was cooked to perfection & delicious. Partners has fish & chips with extra scampi. Portion size was plentyful and good value. 2 wine & 2 Guinness too.
The food here is amazing. Real quality produce and everything is cooked to perfection. You can tell the chef is really passionate and good food. The service is great too, always really friendly and polite. It has a good selection of beers and the pub itself is nice and relaxing. I had the steak and ale pie today followed by sticky toffee pudding. It really was top tier
I went for Sunday lunch with my family and I had the most amazing venison dish! Excellent service and lovely food.
Moved to the village in April 2022 and we are thrilled to have discovered this place. New owners will no doubt bring it back to glory - they are extremely friendly and clearly value your business. The chef is exceptional we were frankly gobsmacked by the delicious food and a bonus that we can bring our dog!
Just bobbed in for some food and the chef had finished but instead of turning us away he got his apron back on and made us the best BLT’s ever. So 5 star for service and food! Will definitely return again.
A very welcoming pub, warm and cosy. Friendly staff too! Well worth a visit. Not eaten there yet but am looking forward to it.
