   Really happy with the help I’ve received from all the staff at Joseph James. So glad I decided to call in here. Upon arrival I was welcomed and advised to let anyone know if I needed anything, then left to it to wander around with no pressure or hard sales tactics like some well known stores. Feeling comfortable helped me relax and choose the furniture I wanted. I was really grateful when I asked questions that the staff went through every detail with me to make sure I was certain and happy with my decision. I received the best customer service in store, and on the phone. It’s refreshing that the process wasn’t stressful, it was honest, and I saved a huge amount of money shopping here rather than other known furniture stores. Joseph James have been so accommodating and helpful as they’ve stored my sofa and bed while works being done on the house. They taken a load of stress away and made it a pleasurable experience. I’ve had one of my sofas delivered so I can sit down whilst the work finishes,which they happily accommodated. The delivery guys were also great, no messing, both really friendly and polite and efficient.    WOW! What a terrible experience. I ordered a sofa by telephone to one of their stores. I was promised delivery within 4 days. The salesman lied about the delivery date. The delivery was attempted a week after the day promised. The sofa was delivered to a random address 20 miles away. This company tried to blame the delivery company then later admitted to putting the wrong label on the package. The delivery company was not at fault at all. Following countless apologies from the customer services team, we still have no sofa, then eventually after all of our attempts to communicate the sofa was finally delivered damaged. I issued pictures of the damage and requested for the sofa to be collected and a refund. This was within their self imposed return policy. That request was rejected and throughout this whole experience I would advise not to purchase a product from this retailer. The communication is close to non existent. I am still awaiting a compensation payment. The sales person lied to me. The item arrived damaged. I assume however, if you call into a store and pick out your exact item and have it delivered locally the same day you may have a different experience. I have also seen some reviews that the owner has responded to claiming they are totally false, I welcome an opportunity to back my review up with all of the communication I have send and received. This firm is an embarrassment.

   Joseph James was recommended by friends. I visited the Stretford showroom on their advice and was not disappointed. I was pleased with the range of furniture on offer and found exactly what I was looking for. Josh was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and provided just the level of service that I required. He made the whole experience stress free. After sales service was also great with short delivery slots and good communication right up to the point of delivery. Everyone I came into contact with was professional and polite. Thoroughly recommended.

   I’ve been a loyal customer of Joseph Jones Furniture for years, right from their early days. Sadly, my recent experience has been really disappointing. I bought a new sofa, but quickly realised it wouldn’t fit into my new home. I asked to swap it — a like-for-like change — but was met with poor communication and a flat refusal. After weeks of chasing, I was left with a sofa I can’t use and no real help from the team. It’s upsetting to see a once-great company lose its personal touch. I really hope the management see this and reconsider.

   Faultless from start to finish. I went to the Stockport showroom and Matt greeted me, he was friendly and helpful. I ordered on 22.04.25 and my sofa bed and kitchen dining were delivered on 25.04.25. Other shops have waiting times of 6-11 weeks. Had I not ordered my beds already I would have got them from here. Delivery guys Darren and Connor were great too! very happy customer

   Great shop with a large selection of furniture to choose from. Very helpful and happy to oblige if you want to see if your chosen furniture will match. Much cheaper and readily available to deliver. The delivery guys were great too. They took our old suite away and took good care not to be banging the woodwork. Definitely recommend

   Just had my sofa delivered and couldn’t be happier! Gorgeous sofa, staff are really helpful in the shop and when I told them I was currently decorating my living room they told me they would hold the sofa for me. I just gave them a ring when I was finished decorating and then they delivered the next day! The delivery guys were great, set it all up for me and the sofa looks amazing. Really great price, great customer service and you get the sofa the next day rather than waiting about 7 weeks from other sofa companies. 100% recommend

   Great place to get a sofa! Lots in the showroom to choose from. Very helpful and friendly staff. Picked a set we liked arranged a delivery day and they rang the night before to confirm a 3hr slot and then when on the way. The delivery guys were great too. Love our purchase thanks.

   The most professional store ever! From placing the order to delivery ,everyone was super professional and called to keep me updated. My sofas arrived in less than 48 hours after order was placed. I received two amazing leather sofas in spotless conditions! The full price of the sofas was £4000 at DFS and I paid just £1680. Thank you very much to all of you!

   Fantastic service all round. if you don't want to wait a minimum 3 months for a new sofa then this is the place to go. The showroom is stocked with a wide variety of sofas for the picking. Once you decide which one to buy they wrap it off the shop floor straight away and sort out a delivery date quickly and delivery is free too. They are competitively priced but bare in mind these are ex-display/returns/slight defects but looked new to me. The delivery was great too. The driver texted me 3hrs before and called 30mins before arrival. Well deserved 5*. Highly recommended and will definitely buy again.
