Cannot recommend this place more! Food is authentic and made with love. The staff are smiling and genuinely seem to care :) loved my Turkish breakfast and the food came quick!! Love it
Lovely food and drinks, plenty of choice, including vegetarian options. The service is very friendly and quick. Food seemed to be very fresh, perfect for lunch or just a sweet treat/coffee!!
Visited the grind cafe for a late breakfast and had such a lovely experience! The staff are so welcoming, service was quick and the food can’t be faulted. We had a lovely chat with the couple who own it and they even gave us a piece of their blueberry cake on the house. Definitely recommend coming here and will be visiting again!
I used to visit The Grind Café at Kelham Island regularly three years ago, especially for their Pancake of the Week, which I enjoyed twice a month without fail. However, I stopped going after they changed chefs—unfortunately, the pancakes were no longer as delicious, and I left feeling disappointed. This year, I was thinking that the same chef might have moved to a café in Crookes, so I decided to check it out. When I arrived, I was told the chef had left and they no longer served Pancake of the Week. I mentioned how disappointed I was, and to my surprise, the waitress kindly asked the new chef if they could make one specially for me. To my delight, the pancake was absolutely delicious—The Grind Café has truly returned to its best. Not only was the pancake top quality again, but the rest of the food was also excellent. I sincerely hope the management continues to support great chefs like the current one and considers hiring more staff. It’s a lovely café, and with the right team, it can keep delighting more customers in Sheffield.
A real nice cafe with a great dedication to quality. I ordered a Nutella cookie and a flat white. Both were amazing, with some swift service. If you're familiar with Grind as they are down Kelham Island, you can expect something very similar.
Lovely cafe. Friendly staff at a very busy lunchtime. The food was good - salads were great, and the cake was delicious.
Great atmosphere. Nice menu with a variety of savoury options. Very tasty. Drink selection good. Cakes OK, but a little on the dry side. Ok with a coffee.
