    My partner Fran and I came to Pontefract to watch her son play in a Squash tournament. From my initial enquiry to checking out was a fantastic experience. Stacy went above and beyond to ensure our stay went beyond our expectations. It is so refreshing to stay at a place where customer service and traditional Yorkshire values are the order of the day. I can highly recommend The Olde Tavern and would give it 6 out of 5 stars if I could. Keep up the great work Stacy and will definitely be returning

    The Olde Tavern is a traditional two roomed pub. There is a large bar area and a nice separate room with a pool table. There is a wide selection of beers lager and cider but unfortunately no hand-pulled cask conditioned real ales. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and there is an outside seating area. I haven't tried the food so i can't comment. There is plenty of customer car parking.

    Fantastic pub. Great people run the place and their is a nice atmosphere in this friendly local boozer. Big rear garden and aviary too. Great meals all week with set meals or a lovely carvery.

    English countryside hospitality! And the best BBQ Chicken sandwich you will ever eat. I had a 90 minute wait for my train and stumbled upon The Olde Tavern, how blessed I feel! Such a delightful owner, made me feel so very welcome. Great food, friendly service and just an all round awesome pub lunch experience, without the booze!

    Lovely carvery Plates could have been a little warmer but beef and vegetables were lovely Plenty of choice Made me some gluten free gravy and advised on food Let themselves down a bit with choice of pudding for caeliacs It was either icecream or custard on its own which was bit dissapointing Coffee ☕️ after was good too
