The Robin Hood Inn is a nice traditional pub. There is a wide selection of beers lager and cider including hand-pulled cask conditioned real ales. The ones we sampled were in excellent condition. There is an outside seating area next to the pub and in a courtyard behind the pub. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the pub is featured in the camra good beer guide and is dog friendly. A visit is highly recommended.

How can you not be impressed by this pub retaining much of its original charm and character. The beers are from the Kirkstall family of beers so you can be sure of quality. The bar staff are so friendly, it’s no wonder this bar is in the 2025 Good Beer Guide.
On arrival the landlord gave me a guided tour. Really nice regulars in a comfy setting, log fired in the winter months with a good selection of beers to choose from. There are live bands entertaining during each month with tastes for all kinds of music. Nice start to the night when visiting Ropergate or a snug afternoon tipple, definitely one to go to!
Great small pub with some of the best craft beers ever. I had a strawberry beer which was lovely. Deffo recommended
This is a pub for all ages, well stocked beers friendly staff very welcoming, only visit pontyfract 5 time a year but always go In the Hood fantastic
Friendly, thriving pub with lovely staff and a great selection of beers. My pictures show the large upstairs room, where we attended a book launch by local author and TV presenter Ian Clayton. Excellent facilities
Fab patio beer garden with a great eclectic mix of locals, good pints and delicious pork pies sold on the bar. Inside it’s dark and cosy (very cosy in summer) and friendly.
