   Busy, friendly and cosy local on main road. Usually two, well kept, hand pulled real ales served. Separate traditional bar with pool table, darts etc. Full sports package on TVs and very popular with racing fans, with Cheltenham festival very popular. Quiz night and other events popular.

   My old mate Phil from Bass House in Ponty runs The Houghton now I was very pleased to find out recently. Couldn't be in safer hands, great atmosphere, nice locals and a genuinely pleasant local pub, great beer too, loads of sports, great prices. You won't be disappointed so go check it out. Graham.
