   Cold, brittle atmosphere. Went in looking for some nice food (as spoken about in other reviews), asked the lady behind the bar whether there was anywhere specific to sit if we were eating, and she simply shook her head without a word. There was no sense of welcome or hospitality. Half the place had the lights turned off, so we perched on a couple of bar stools, had a whispered conversation about how uncomfortable we both felt, and then snuck out awkwardly while no one was looking. Perhaps for familiar locals this is a nice place to meet up, but for the average guests looking for a drink or some food I would not recommend trying the New Inn. We ended up heading just down the road to another pub and had an absolutely smashing time in a warm, friendly atmosphere with some fantastic food delivered by wonderful staff.

   Nice little country pub. Always a good selection of beers including hand pulled ales. Friendly staff. Nice ambience. A little small but that adds to the charm of the place. Even have live music. What's not to like?
