Very disappointing. Cold Sunday Roast and when I asked for it to be heated up i get the exact same plate back ...only colder and now dryer!! the waitresses were indifferent and could not slam the food to us with no smile or offer of sauces. The manageress did refund us and apologise and there was one young man behind the bar who was super helpful and in the end got us gravy and sauces. Such a shame as we have eaten here before and the lunch was superb but sadly very disappointing on this occasion.

We’re local to Boston Spa, and The Crown is a great asset for the village. At a time when other villages are losing their pubs or they are terrible brewery pubs, we have this venue with great events, great beer selection, good food, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and a top beer garden. Will never understand the negative reviews, as we’re in here a few times a month and it’s always brilliant. Clearly can’t please some people! Last visit was Saturday, great atmosphere, bar busy but got served straight away. Staff were friendly as always and even had new cask beer on to try! Only downside was we wanted food but were told there was a wait on orders. We ate somewhere else in the village, but came back again for a drink later. Still busy and very good atmosphere late into the evening!

Terrible experience. The waiter got one of the two orders wrong, messing up the veggie version for chicken, so we ate separately for a while. They then rushed the veggie meal and used old, left over fries which were burnt, greasy and small. The pie at £18 was tasty but hardly any mash and peas and I left hungry. The waiter then abandoned the entire room, didn't offer us dessert and I had to hunt him down to get the bill. The room was cold, too. I won't be going back.

Having recently being diagnosed as coeliac I am anxious about eating out - I advised Lucy T when I sat down and nothing was too much trouble. The menu was clear, she let me know that my food would be cooked in a separate fryer. Attentive with the drinks orders & very friendly. Thank you so much. You have no idea how much you made our evening.

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch at The Crown. My husband had the Sunday Roast Dinner with Pork, Beef and Cauliflower cheese and said it was the best Sunday Lunch ‘Out’ he’s ever had! We both had starters and puddings which were fabulous. I had the Lemon Tart with Raspberry Sorbet and it was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had also! The atmosphere was great it was busy but not too noisy- just right. (Photos were taken when we just arrived) They were so attentive when I needed boiling water for my baby’s feed-nothing was too much bother. Staff were really friendly. We have actually decided to book our Son’s Christening party here. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. We can see it been a regular place for us to visit. Highly recommend!

It was far better than expected, a booking was made with neither of the families ever seeing the place in advance. It was chosen purely because it was halfway between us and our family, we both drove 45 minutes to get to Boston Spa. We arrived on a cold and very wet day so was pleasantly surprised to find the spacious dining room was well heated. The food was all excellent, even catering to the very particular likes/dislikes of an 11yr old. Well done - it could well become the favourite family meeting place of the future.

Very disappointed with the service today. Staff didn't know what the soup of the day was they had to check! We asked for a dessert menu so we could decide whether to do starter or dessert it never arrived. We waited a long time for the starter to arrive and then we watched one of our meals take a tour around the restaurant then return to the kitchen before it arrived at our table needless to say it wad cold so it was returned to the kitchen. We were supplied with two soft drinks for our delay. We weren't asked if we wanted any condiments and couldn't be bothered asking by then. We weren't asked if we wanted any desserts or coffee's. However when we asked for the bill it arrived in 31 seconds. We were thinking of booking for our Christmas get together here but we won't be returning ever. 1 star given the food was nice when it arrived

Called in for late lunch. Sat in the conservatory at the back. Great space. Didn't want anything too heavy so went for Caesar Salad with chicken. One of the nicest Caesars I've had in a long time. 10/10

Lovely lay out and decor. Came for Sunday lunch with the little one and was pleasantly surprised. Really nice seating area outside for food or just a coffee or beer. Ample parking with spaces for electrical charging vehicles too. Sunday lunch was brilliant! THE biggest Yorkshire pudding I've had. Beef topside cooked to perfection. Had to sample the Sticky Toffee Pudding to finish. Wasn't disappointed. Nice wet pub feel at the front and formal dining at the rear. Will definitely be back. All the staff were a delight too!

Complimentary nibbles and Prosecco and very taste food! Extremely friendly and helpful staff, awesome décor and even had a wireless phone charger built into our table lamp. Food took a little bit longer than expected to come, but I'm sure this was just opening day teething issues. Overall a great experience!
