I just saw the previous review about waiting '10 minutes' for a drink. I witness that they wasn't waiting..they got served within seconds...plus it was Wetherby Race Day so it is expected to be busy. The staff are working their socks off! Props to them! I had no issues with service but good atmosphere!
Our lovely local, they make us and our doglet feel at home every time we go in. Still not eaten here, so I can't review the foodage!
We ordered some starters and 2 x Steak and Ale pies for lunch. The pub wasnt that busy. It took about 10 minutes after ordering for the kitchen to realise that they only had one pie left. It then took another 30 minutes for the starters to arrive, which were actually not bad. When the Steak and Ale pie arrived it had been microwaved to within an inch of its life. The pastry was rock hard and there was barely any filling. The sausages were also microwaved. Won't be going back
Great pub ,friendly staff and customers ,we had gammon and chips and I had lasagna,really tasty and cooked fresh .we’re going again tomorrow
This places quality of food is not it for the price. Spent over £30 on two mains which one was not nice. The lasagna had two layers of stringy cheese barely any meat whatsoever the garlic bread was stale like bread. I really don’t like leaving places negative reviews but the only positive was that they had a nice outdoor seating area outside.
Food was good and correctly priced. Lovely traditional old pub.
How can this work as a local with my friend because the racing is on we have to drink out of plastic glasses and we pay GOOD money for this service. Rubbish service
Only my 3rd visit not been a local, but on the occasions I've been the pub has been lovely. Very welcoming, clean, friendly and has a variety of background music to suit all tastes. Recommend a visit if you're in Wetherby.

Booked for a Christmas meal with friends and the food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Such friendly staff. Great desert for me who is lactose intolerant. Was great to eat cheesecake without compromising the taste.
