   RTW shirts are made in India. Material says cotton feels like rough polyester. Notice the button alignment.

   I purchased a suit and had it tailored to celebrate a milestone birthday, I was initially happy with the service received to get fitted, however the quality of the product let it down. The suit pockets both tore after minimal use and when I called to ask how to have them replaced or fixed I was simply told they couldn’t help, but could refer me elsewhere. Given the price tag of said item, this fell short of the experience I expected given this was a one of purchase where I expected quality.

   My all time favorite and go to for suit. Mr. Stefan Furenbrink, Bespoke & Wholesale Consultant is amazingly good in what he does. Richard James offers a distinctive Savile Row experience blending traditional craftsmanship with modern flair, catering to both bespoke and made-to-measure clients. Bespoke Tailoring Experience. Each bespoke garment begins with a unique paper pattern created by the Head Cutter. The suit is handcrafted over ~50 man-hours on Savile Row, involving meticulous hand-finishing and multiple fittings for a perfect fit. Clients actively participate in design decisions, resulting in a garment that reflects their personality. Takes 8–12 weeks, with entry-level suits starting at £6,000 (plus VAT). Bespoke appointments occur at Richard James House (19 Clifford Street, London), featuring private fitting rooms and an on-site workshop. 2. Made-to-Measure (MTM) Service, Efficiency & Customization. Also a faster alternative (6–8 weeks) priced from £2,000 (inc. VAT). I select the fabrics, construction (e.g., fully/half-canvassed), and details like lapel width, lining, and buttons. Thousands of cloth options are available, including wool tweeds, linens, and velvets. Features waisted jackets, higher armholes, and deep side vents for a slimmer silhouette.    I was trying to buy a jacket online, but had questions about the fit. First, I sent an e-mail to the address on the website. No response. A day later I clicked on the chat function to ask my question. It informed me that the chat bot was very busy and the wait time was over 15 minutes. How can a chat bot be busy?? In any case, I was still waiting for a response 90 minutes later, so I finally gave up. I’ve been a customer at Richard James for 27 years, since 1998, and I’m very curious why they’re trying so hard to alienate a long-term client. This is not what I expect from a Savile Row establishment.

   I don’t like to leave bad reviews. Staff was friendly but suit took way longer than advertised and has no mobility. Shirts were not tailored and I was never contacted when they were ready. Way too expensive for this

   Following the issues I had, Michael has gone above and beyond to rectify the matter despite this being an unfortunate freak incident and I could not be happier with the way this has been handled. I cant recall the last time I was this impressed with customer service.

   I went to Savile Row to get a jacked, for a wedding when I found this shop and went in for a quick look around. I wasn't harassed by sails people and was encouraged to try on jacked and for some reason the kind easy approach of the staff was helpful and encouraging. I didn't get the mans name that eventually helped me but if I had been left alone I would have never been able to choose the correct garment for myself when I looked in the mirror I didn't see the subtle differences he did and he kindly pointed out problems offered solutions and so on luckily for me after trying on several different jacked we found one that was the right colour and the correct fit. Excellent experience I will be going back for more.

   UPDATE: I now feel compelled to write here that Myles has arranged an effective resolution to this situation which has left me entirely satisfied with the customer service of Richard James, which I judge to be remarkable in having gone above and beyond the call of duty in order to make amends here. Ordered a few things in their sale only to learn a week later that none of it was stocked in London. Ended up waiting nearly a month for my order to arrive from New York. They still neglected to refund even my postage despite my asking. In fact, when I phoned their 'customer care' line the gentleman I spoke to seemed as if he could not care less about the inconvenience. I definitly will not be shopping here again.
