Great local pub located near Woodlesford station. Brought my daughter for a meal, having never been before, relying on the other favourable reviews of this place. A quieter Tuesday evening but the place still was buzzing with regulars and visitors alike. Pool table and dartboard. Good range of beers and ciders on tap, plus spirits behind the bar. Taps for a couple of hand pulled beers was good to see too. I had Black Sheep which seemed really nicely kept, to me. We ordered off the menu, fairly traditional range of offerings. I had Steak &ale pie w chips n peas and daughter had cottage pie which looked great too ( and tasted good too apparently). The short crust pie seemed of good quality and was tasty, all good served hot, great on a cold late November evening. Finished off with deserts which were equally satisfying. The pub had recently been trimmed up with a full range of Christmas decorations and felt really cosy and festive. All the staff we dealt with were lovely and friendly and I felt at home straight away. Will most likely return at some point. No fuss, good quality fayre and good value. Would be nice to have this as a local (but I am a drive away). Cheers.

We had completed a very long walk up at RSPB St Aidan’s so were very ready to eat when we got back into Woodlesford and discovered the Two Pointers. We ordered our food and drinks at the bar but sat outside in the sunshine. There were no gluten free options available so we ordered the specials-jacket potatoes and also a chicken burger. Service was really quick and the food very tasty-I would suggest, however, that the jacket potatoes need to be served in a dish or on a smaller plate as they were really lost on the big plates. The pub looked clean and tidy inside. I didn’t notice many customers inside but there were a few in the outdoor space which is also dog friendly. Lovely staff! Would eat there again if we were in the area.

Fab food, great service and a really lovely pub setting. The staff are brilliant and so personal. We went for a Mother’s Day lunch with 9 of us and the speed and service was great. Added extras of presents for the mothers too was beautiful. Food was unreal as always and everyone couldn’t speak anymore highly of the place. Thankyou all!

First and last time here. Booked a table waited nearly an hour for the food. My son ordered a chicken burger which was not cooked properly. Was told by the manager Viv this was a vein in the chicken and would never cook. I then asked her to come and look at the beef which her comment was I am a vegetarian!!. I then asked if someone who knew what tough disgusting beef should look like could take a look and the chef eventually came out and said that how it comes out of the packet he has no control over the quality of the meat !!. Viv the manager refunded £11.95 for the chicken burger although in total spent £130 and all of it was inedible. Terrible food, service and attitude in a so called hospitality establishment.

Real mixed experience. Food was very slow and some of it very overpriced. £7.50 for 3 haloumi sticks. But other dishes good value.
