Interesting old style pub which serves cheap beer. However, if you do not drink alcohol and and are out with regular drinking buddies, then being charged £3.60 for a pint of diet cola when a pint of dark and mild is only £2.60 does seem a bit of a rip off, perhaps they should reduce their non alcoholic drinks to the same level as alcoholic drinks. Also it says it is a digital free pub and mobile phone use is not allowed in the pub itself. however whilst we were there, there was a group of youngsters (students?) who were openly watching videos or something like that on their phones and the bar staff never said anything when collecting glasses from their table. If you have rules impose them for all.. Also the quality of Sam Smith's own diet cola is very poor ad watery.

Got told off for taking out my phone! But I don't mind that. A nice cosy bar in Leeds City centre. Great selection of beers, ales, bitters as you'd expect from a Samuel Smith pub.. will visit again.

The Angel Inn, a Samuel Smith’s pub, is a warm and inviting spot with polite staff and plenty of comfortable seating. It’s a great place to enjoy a well-priced pint in a relaxed, traditional setting.

This was a lovely pub for drinking, with a bright interior and old fashioned layout! The intervals between different sections create this and clock in the middle is a classic, as is the model lifebuoy. Counter is well presented and I enjoyed a pint of Cruzcampo, sitting at leather seating by a clean table!

A Sam Smith's house. Looking fresh after lockdown. Still no electronics or swearing allowed. No music either. But in fairness, it does work. But the best bit....they have tap and pay! Yay! I know, but this is a big thing for Sam's, cash only for years. Now there's no need to wander the streets looking for a cash machine.

Just before Christmas. Full of well behaved people who appreciate their beer in a olde worlde building. A cracking pint of Sam's, which I always enjoy and at £3 a pint !! This is Leeds City centre? It's a no mobile pub but it's on two floors, so Humphrey's rules can't be regulated all the time.

cash only - this is a sam smith pub!!! very cheap and good vibes from bar staff and other customers. didn't realise that angel inn is a sam smith pub which means (allegedly) no singing, no phones or tech, and no cards etc however the bar staff do not seem super strict in enforcing this which i was thankful for (especially when texting a friend to make sure i was in the right place, they either did not notice or gave a blind eye). the bar staff are really friendly and welcoming and the pub is a beautiful old 17th century building tucked behind a tiny alleyway. beautiful exposed beams, original wood serving bar and standard pub furnishings. quite busy downstairs but very quiet upstairs which is perfect if you want to catch up with friends. definitely worth a visit if you are in the area - only £3.50 for a vodka lime soda!!
