was here on Sunday, cozy vibes, and good portion of the food. there is a small area close to the cashier where they sell some organic foods, nice to have a look while waiting for the food to come
Lovely food and great service, could maybe do with a different colour on the wall to make it more cosy as it’s a bit cold and clinical at the moment
Lovely drink and treacle tart that I had here this afternoon. The lady serving was very friendly and it was lovely being surrounded by a local artists work on the walls.
Delicious breakfast (for lunch)! Smooth tasty coffee! Tried some cookies made by one of the young trainees, which were very light and scrumptious shortbread cookies. Thank you for accommodating a gluten intolerance, a toddler and a baby! I don't think I've ever felt so at home in a cafe. Would definitely recommend people visit Hillsborough and grab a coffee and food at the delightful touch cafe :-)
Well, the delight was a bit mixed Several of us had the brie bites and they were alright But unfortunately the lamb burger didn’t taste fresh at all. It was probably a frozen meat patty and it was rather bland and topped with cheap orange cheese. Also, there were no wedges.
The carrot cake was really good in this shop. All the staff were really friendly and helpful! Would recommend coming here :)
Another brilliant addition to the Hillsborough experience. The coffee is lovely, and the food is great. The staff were very helpful in helping me with the vegan options available, and the vegan rolls are good! My friend very much enjoyed his hog roast sausage roll too. Highly recommended!
The cafe is lovely with food and drink very nice to a high standard. Decor is good and always feels very clean. Unfortunately it is massively let down by flustered staff running around at 100mph. It feels like you are rushed to order and spoken to rudely and does not give a relaxed experience. They also need to implement a more efficient payment system. I had paid for my order at the till but as I was leaving I was questioned over payment and had to prove using Internet banking that I had paid my bill. For these reasons unfortunately i will not return to this cafe.
I think I give honest and fair reviews. This lovely venue is more than a cafe. It has a relaxed atmosphere, terrific decor and very attentive staff. There is a varied menu and they make as much of the food as they are able. There are many considerations for dietary needs. The coffees were really nice too. So why only four stars? It is not particularly cheap and the food was warm rather than hot. I suppose you get used to that in many other parts of Europe and maybe I should make an allowance for this. Please do try as you will not be disappointed. I had waffle, bacon and maple syrup. It may not be everyone's choice but I enjoyed it all and it was more than enough for an early lunch. It was also beautifully presented. I shall be going back as it is a nice treat. The staff make this place. Everything is done with a smile. You feel welcomed, almost like visiting a friend. Everything is, indeed, done with a delightful touch.
Such a lovely cafe!! Stumbled past and was drawn in by the big windows. The decor is light and friendly. The team were all so attentive. Coffee was great, and after checking the menu, I stuck around for their soup. The image speaks for itself. I didn't get the cakes, but after hearing the spruking, they're all handmade by the husband and wife owner-team. I'll be back, with eyes on the brownie. Thanks Delightful touch!
