   I think the manager is very unprofessional, I heard the way he spoke to one of his colleagues when I was across the road and he did this openly outside of Howden’s rather than speaking in private. I have heard of other times of him being unprofessional too and upsetting certain colleagues and I don’t think it’s acceptable especially coming from a store manager.

   A few items I needed from Howden's Openshaw were only in stock at Howden's Middleton. I needed to go & collect that afternoon, as it was too late for next day delivery. I paid Openshaw & they passed the order on to Middleton for same day collection. I got to Middleton for 16:53, & this miserable stumpy dude started moaning that they were closed. They were clearly open, albeit the three staff who were still there were sat waiting for 5pm before leaving. I explained I'd driven 50 minutes across Central Manchester through rush hour traffic & was desperate to collect my order. Thankfully, whilst Stumpy was moaning about the warehouse being locked (it wasn't), & the till system probably not allowing them to log back in (it did), the other two took less than 5 minutes to fulfill my order. Howden's management need to have a word with the stumpy dude! At most, I may have made him 2 minutes late home for his tea, but was that such a big deal? He seriously expected me to leave & come back the following day, because he couldn't be bothered to spend 5 minutes toward the end of his working day fulfilling my order. Openshaw were brilliant. The other two staff members at Middleton stepped up to help me out. However, Stumpy completely upset my day with his pedantic behaviour. This branch of Howden's are advertised as being open until 5pm Monday - Friday. What's the point when Stumpy's pulled the shutters down & got his coat on, ready for the off, well before Howden's Middleton's closing time? Hopefully, I'll never have to see Stumpy again!

   Its as if they don't want any business! I tried to arrange a kitchen measure/design on 3 occasions via their website, once filled out the online form, it says a member of the team will make contact, never did. So I tried to open a new trade account online and what a surprise never heard back. Not good business, not good customer service.
