Lovely place to visit for the experience of sitting so close to the birds. Never been anywhere like it. Great experience for children to see the birds feeding close up and everybody likes the squirrels. View over the river to fields and hills is also pleasant. Best to go when not busy as its small and best seats are soon taken but even furthest away from window you get good view of the birds. Range of good stuff in deliand gifts.

Me and my partner visited on Friday morning while we were on holiday in the area, and I think we honestly could have spent all day there! As you walk in, the shop has a great selection of food and gifts, with a lovely seated area in the actual cafe. We sat by the window to take in the view of the river, and of all the birds on the feeders outside. The food was absolutely amazing, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Already looking for an excuse to revisit!

Called in for a full English breakfast before I set off home following a few days camping in the area. Cafe open from 9am. Lovely outside seating area the inside layout is nice and confatuble with a large windows so you can watch the birds on the feeders directly in front of you. Food is very good well cooked and presented. Staff friendly and polite.

Great atmosphere for a small cafe, but it big draw are the large seated windows with bird feeders and nest boxes. Such a good show of birds over looking tree lined river.

Excellent little cafe and great way to pass an hour spent watching the birds and squirrels sat by the window. The bird spotter guide sheets on the tables were a great little extra to help identify everything. Shop is great too. Full of lovely gifts and food bits. Welcoming atmosphere and super friendly and helpful staff. Already recommended this place to several people and will be calling again when we are in the area

What a lovely relaxing place to visit. I'm sure it was named a herb centre many years ago, so it's nice to see it called The Bird Cafe as it is the birds that have possibly made it a cult cafe to visit. The food and cakes are great as well, however it is the feathered friends that steal the show. We relaxed and ate for a hour and could have happily stayed longer watching them. There is also a great farm shop on site for gifts, chocolate and plants. Nice morning out.

A lovely place for lunch. The food is good, the staff a really nice and friendly and the birds are just outside the windows not the least bit bothered by people in the cafe. Also a great little shop with local produce.

Great place to visit for a drink or a meal while watching the birds on feeders and to buy plants. A favourite meal of mine from the Bird Cafe is the field mushrooms on toast(see photo) very tasty meal! Another plus is they can do gluten free food too!
