    Cosy cafe with good vegan sausage roll and coffees. Excellent range of cakes for non vegans, but no vegan options when we visited. Marked down as I did purchase a vegan brownie from the adjoining shop, but was then told I could not eat it in the café - understandable if I’d bought it rather than one of the cakes on offer in the café, but when the café was offering no alternative I could eat (and when we’d purchased coffees and rolls from them), it felt rather absurd. This exchange aside, would have been 4-5*.

    A really pleasant cafe situated en the crossroads at Calver with nice views of the surrounding countryside. The staff are welcoming and drinks and food are fresh and tasty. I had a dark drinking chocolate which was rich and silky in taste. There is a good selection of drinks and cakes. I have previously had a light lunch there and the food was fresh and tasty.

    Very helpful and friendly staff, good food, excellent coffee and a wide range of snacks. It's also an excellent start or finish point for the lovely walk up one bank of the Derwent to Froggat and back down the other side.

    Just driving through on our way to the Lake District and needed some breaky. The lights turned red and we saw this place so pulled in, we were so grateful we did! It was fab! So friendly, busy atmosphere but not intrusive and the FOOD!!!! OMG!!! The food! So good and plenty of options! ◡̈ we loved it! Thank you

    seeing as the owner blocked my review on facebook i'll post on here! I watched a member of staff put the cake i ordered onto a tray, go to another table to collect dirty pots, put them on the same tray and take the pots to the counter - then bring us the cake. gave us dirty cutlery with food engrained onto it. asked for replacement - still gross. cup of tea... guess what dirty.. asked for a replacement oh guess what?? still dirty! had been going here regularly for the best part of a year and had no issue, food was always amazing but staff out front have no idea about food hygiene and i simply cant eat here again.

    Carrot cake cafe! I would like to change the name of cafe for Carrot cake. Delicious cakes have been served here. Coming back from running in Eyam and Abney area me and my friend popped in here for a hot drink. It's been cold day. I planned to order hot chocolate only. But when I saw great selection of cakes I decided for Carrot cake. It was good decision. I asked for one more to take away before leaving. Definitely we'll be back
