It's great to find cafe that not only welcomes dogs but provides blankets for them to lie on a has a few dog chews available. Coffee and scone was great and staff very friendly. There is a large range of food for lunch etc but I didn't try that this time. Will happily return though when back in the area.

Lovely cafe with super friendly and attentive staff and stunning decor. The food menu is typical for a cafe; the turkey brie and cranberry toastie from their Christmas specials menu and the soup of the day (winter veg) were both delicious, as was the bakewell pudding. Coupling in the coffee with the food, overall 4* for the offering as the coffee (Cappucino) could have been smoother, but it was still very nice. It is also a very rustic, small little coffee shop with limited spaces, so on a busy saturday it can fill up; as with Cafes though it wouldn't be a long wait. Its not particularly wheelchair friendly due to the space and the large entry step but im sure it could be accommodated if needed. Dog friendly.

We got the Bakewell Tart & the Bakewell Pudding (unfortunately not the best photos) and they were both really good and the perfect portion per person. Moreover, something that we've never seen before is how they have extra hot water for the tea and even offered to provide more at no extra cost (the tea itself being about Β£3 which is lower than many places already). What made the visit even better was the atmosphere (nice and homely) the friendliness of the staff even when they were incredibly busy. Also - Great GF and vegan options for cakes and pastries which is greatly appreciated. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful find. Jo and her team made this small but perfectly lovely cafe a really special visit. Everything was delicious, the toasties were somehow so much better than the usual cafe fare, I think it was the high quality bread and ingredients. The puddings and custard were also excellent, we had the Bakewell pudding and the rhubarb and apple tart, both with (just howI like it, not too runny) custard. Excellent. Finally thanks Jo, you couldn't have made us feel more welcome! Best cafe I've been to for a long time, you can see why it won best Derbyshire cafe this year!

Lovely little cafe It does get very busy, so you need to be quick if you want to have a drink and food there. We had a brie, bacon and cranberry panini, it was lovely and soft. We ordered a cheese scone but were too full to eat it, so the owner warmed it up and wrapped it in foil for us to take awake with butter and cutlery.

Managed to get a table for four on a busy weekend. The staff were very accommodating as we had two small children and pushchair. The menu is really good with specials also. I got the BBQ chicken melt which might be the best hot sandwich I've had to date. The bread was ciabatta panini bread which is my new favourite the BBQ and chicken and bacon combo was delicious highly recommend

We visited Bakewell on our way through and we decided to pop into this lovely tea room with our 5 dogs (in their pushchair) Wow the food was scrumptious! The cheese scones were to die for and the Bakewell pudding was beautiful. We also asked for sausages for the dogs and they were so kind and obliging nothing was too much. The atmosphere was really friendly and relaxed and we had a lovely conversation with the locals which made us feel so at home. It is only a small tea room but absolutely perfect and the staff were so kind and welcoming that we would definitely visit again if we were in the area. Thank you for making us so welcome.

Lovely scone and good pot of tea. Special board has good quality variety. Great for dogs and doggie fussing if you donβt have one. Service was good. Note public toilets are clean 5 mins walk away and 20p. Bakewell is a nice place for a potter with some great shops, cheese and cakes. Plus the famous Bakewell pudding/ tarts.
