   Recently visited with family . Beautiful clean place . Lovely bar staff . Loved the open coal fire . Fantastic atmosphere and very friendly . Fully recommended and definitely worth a visit if you are in the area .

   Public Warning / Statement of Experience On 20th October 2025, I visited The Halfway in Robin Hood to use their WiFi in order to transfer some money. Upon entering, I was asked to purchase a drink to access the WiFi. I explained that I would do so immediately after completing the transfer, but the staff member replied that “it doesn’t work like that.” As it was raining heavily outside, I stood by the door preparing to leave. The same man who works there then came to the door smoking and made highly inappropriate and offensive remarks. He asked me whether I was “illegal or legal” and if I had “come to England on a boat.” These comments were racially insensitive and made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. It is unacceptable for anyone to be subjected to such discriminatory language or assumptions based on their race or appearance. I am sharing this experience to warn fellow Black people and other minorities to be cautious and aware of such behaviour. We all deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of our background or appearance. Let us continue to support establishments that value inclusion and equality, and avoid those where prejudice is tolerated.

   I had my son's 11th birthday party here over the weekend, with a mixture of childrens age's. The DJ was recommended by the Landlady and the children loved it. The Adults enjoyed it all too. I can't recommend highly enough and glad someone had recommend it to myself 10/10

   Great small traditional pub. We were in the left side which I think was the Lounge. Very clean and tidy, drinks were a great price with plenty of deals on too. Can’t comment on food as we didn’t have any but the menu looked great with a decent selection and also the prices were pretty decent. Plenty of parking outside too The lady behind the bar was very nice and friendly too which was lovely
