   I’ve been to the Sharrow branch before and was impressed by the menu, but this location seems more limited. The sign on the cakes and pastries display stated everything was vegan, so I almost went for a pain au chocolat — luckily I checked the label, as it wasn’t vegan, and neither were several other items. They really need to update that signage to avoid confusion. I took away a sausage roll, which was fine but nothing really special. The space itself is lovely though, and much larger than the Sharrow branch. ❤️the tip jar.

   Popped in on spec for a coffee and sandwich but had to ask about GF savoury options. I don’t think I can be the only coeliac in the village but why should I have to ask - my gf brioche bun with pesto and avocado was terrific btw?

   I visited this venue recently with a close friend for what we hoped would be a relaxing treat — a chance to enjoy good food, warm service, and a welcoming atmosphere. While some aspects were lovely, others left us feeling unexpectedly excluded and disappointed. About halfway through our visit, what appeared to be the owners or senior staff arrived and went straight to their "group of family or friends!. I acknowledge I may have misread the dynamic, but from that point on, they engaged warmly with their circle, creating a lively atmosphere — yet that warmth didn’t extend to all guests. The energy felt cliquey and exclusive, which was surprising and a little disheartening. In a space like this, I’d expect the leadership to circulate, check in with each table, and ensure that everyone feels seen and valued. That kind of inclusive hospitality is what truly elevates a venue. The food itself was lovely, and the vegan options were appreciated — this was a special outing for me, my first time out this year! We were genuinely looking forward to it. If I am wrong about the dynamics and I hope I am. The service around our drinks fell short. My friend’s order arrived without issue, but mine was served with noticeable drips that ended up on the table and floor near where we were seated. It may seem minor, but the lack of attention — no napkins offered, no effort to clean up — left us searching our own bags for tissues. In isolation, these things might be forgivable. But together, they created an experience that felt inattentive and disconnected. A simple gesture of ownership — acknowledging the spill, offering a cloth or napkin, or even cleaning it up — would have made all the difference. There were no other customers waiting to be served at the time, which made the lack of response all the more puzzling. Hospitality isn’t just about presentation; it’s about presence. I genuinely believe this venue has potential — the setting is lovely, and the food is strong — but hospitality is about everyone, not just a chosen few. I hope this feedback is received in the spirit it’s intended: as a nudge toward greater inclusivity, attentiveness, and warmth, not as criticism.

   I absolutely loved the pink interior design so cozy and well thought out. Their iced matcha lattes were amazing, easily some of the best I’ve had. Definitely worth a visit!

   Went for lunch with a friend and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. My porridge bowl was outstanding, served nice and hot, presented beautifully with fresh fruit, slightly spicy with cinnamon, just delish! They don't have a big selection of teas (only a regular Yorkshire one and green tea) which is a shame as I'm a massive tea drinker. The staff is very helpful although on this occasion our empty plates were sat on the table for a really long time. I also had a beetroot latte (made with coconut milk) which was really nice.
