   Just had the most horrible experience tbh. Went for a pre xmas roast with 4 old uni friends - we’re all in our 30s/mixed gender, so definitely weren’t rowdy. The restaurant was quite empty, but the ambiance was cute! But then towards the end of the meal one of the staff came over and told us to be quiet, because we were talking too loudly, and that they were trying to do “a quiet, cozy sunday vibe”. Which I would completely get if we were shouting or singing etc - but it was a group of 5 in our 30s at 5pm! We’d had two drinks, it was just that everyone else in there was in couples. Even the couple next to us was like “did you guys just get told off?! that’s mad!”. If the restaurant didn’t want groups of over 2 or 3 in, I wish they hadn’t let us book, rather than making things weird and awkward and us having to leave early because we felt too awkward to talk.

   Three of us ate here before visiting the Leeds Christmas Market, we ordered a Hugo spritz cocktail, which was £10.50 and then The festive burger which was £19 and came with chips, which was delicious!! it was piping hot and served really quickly, all the staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming, would definitely recommend The Adelphi to friends, and return if im in Leeds again.

   Fantastic pub with an amazing history, beautiful booths, a whole room with posters dedicated to Leeds music scene. I absolutely love this place. The upstairs space is phenomenal. It’s such an amazing old building so much history and heritage. We didn’t eat here so I couldn’t comment on the food personally But if you’re heading towards The Tetley , this is a great place to stop

   I recently had two excellent meals. Firstly, the steak and ale pie, red wine gravy, mash and cabbage was simply delicious. Then I ate an absolutely fantastic bangers and mash with spiced onions and red wine gravy. I look forward to eating at the Adelphi again.

   Have visited here for food and drinks several times before and loved it, hence we keep returning, however on this occasion we left extremely deflated We arrived with everything as we'd normally expect, greeted by the lovely friendly lady on the desk who acknowledged our reservation and said we were upstairs, this is where it all started to go wrong, we've never been seated upstairs before. We reached the restaurant upstairs and was greeted by a waitress who seemed a little flustered because our table wasn't ready, although there were other empty tables available. After an awkward 5 minutes we were seated at one of the empty tables. We visited for the Sunday lunch especially as we'd never had it before. The waitress returned with the menus, which were accidentally dropped on the table, accidents happen we completely understand but there wasn't an apology, the menus are on clipboards so caused quite a clatter. We were then told there was no lamb left. By the time the waitress came back we were ready to order food and drink all in one go, we ordered 2 pints of Guinness and the Sharing Roast. The Guinness, we have had countless pints of Guinness in here (always downstairs) and I'd like to say you serve one of the best pints of Guinness in Leeds! Not this day! The pints were brought over, I nearly spat it back out, I believe it still had line cleaner in it, it tasted very medicinal which is a cause for concern. We alerted the waitress straight away and she was expecting there to be a problem, she said the barrel had been changed and it hadn't been run through. We asked for 2 more, but requested them from downstairs as there was no way I was drinking anymore from that pump. Instead of bringing us 2 pints, she brought us 2 halves (as if we were going to complain again I guess?), she said let me know when you're ready for the next one and I'll go fetch it so we both said you may as well bring it now as we ordered 2 pints not halves. Much better pint, just like we're used to and no taste of line cleaner! Next the food turns up, but no cutlery which we had to ask for, we were then only brought half the cutlery so had to wait for a full set each. The food was a little disappointing, again not what we're used to from The Adelphi. To say it was a sharing Roast I don't think this was reflected in the volume of food, the Yorkshires felt like they weren't homemade, the best bit was the tasty pork belly, the rest was borderline average, again disappointing from previous experiences. We struggled to get anyone's attention to pay the bill so ended up paying at the bar. We left very deflated as this is not The Adelphi we know, very disappointing experience. Will return to give you another go as we're hoping this was just a bad day and like I say we have never had a bad experience here, you're always spot on. Please check your lines properly before serving out of them.

   My mom and I visited back in January. It's a beautiful little pub with loads of different rooms. The atmosphere is lovely and unique. Full of character! The three small dishes we had we enjoyed. I liked the fact we could order to the table by the QR code on the menu. The drinks were a little pricey. Which is my only critique. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a gorgeous pub outside the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

   Had been looking forward to our visit all day but on arrival was told that pork belly wasn’t available so bang went our shared roast we had been looking forward to! Then our table wasn’t ready, then it was, then there was someone else at it, then we got sat down Service was good, and quick, although we were served by about 3 different people while there Food was ok on arrival, wasn’t what we had hoped for but it did the job Would recommend (maybe) as long as they have on what you want and know what they are doing

   Had our wedding here a few weeks ago. Jack, Tom and the whole team at the Adelphi made the process so easy from the first enquiry to all the finer details on the day. They were super accommodating and made the day run so smoothly, all our guests loved the pub and the buffet they put on. They let me have free rein dressing the room and helping to pack it up for us so taking it all home the next day with a wedding hangover was a doddle! Can't wait to come back and have even more pints and memories in this pub. Highly recommended the function room for weddings/parties etc we had 80+ people with a dance floor, DJ and loads of seating so everyone was comfortable.

   Time capsule to a bygone classic era of pubs. Many original features remain as well as a stunning mosaic entrance floor and period tiling. Food looked and smelled amazing bit only came for drinks so cannot review food currently. From how it looks we will definitely be back to try! Beer choices are reasonable and priced as you would expect. Staff are lovely and welcoming. Thank you.
