A proper, old school pub. Does the job it is supposed to do in providing friendly service in a setting that has been preserved very well over the decades. A fantastic selection of very well kept beers and a timetable of events keeps this place as fresh as it was 30 years ago, when I first visited. It's unique, a treasure, and needs to be supported or we will be left with only identikit city centre boozers.

The Groove Inn Pub offers an excellent atmosphere that instantly welcomes you in. With tasty beer on tap and a relaxing vibe, it’s the perfect spot to unwind. The highlight is the live music that wraps up the evening, creating a motivating and friendly environment where strangers feel like old friends. A truly memorable place to spend your time!

Bloody good pub, selling a large selection of very good real ales. Victorian interior clean and well kept. Visited as it was on my parents marriage cert as my dad's address In the late 1950s, he lodged here. Live music. External seating. Highly recommend.

Visited many times over the years. Always have well kept real ales. Love the interior and the small cosy rooms . Not been in for a while. Went in with a group of friends. The ale was good. The service was really good but the food on offer is not as good as it used to be, both in terms of variety and price.

A little bit of history hanging on between the high rise developments surrounding it. This is a traditional pub built with a corridor design and individual rooms coming off it, quite rare these days It has a lovely atmosphere inside, very welcoming. The back room has a stage set up as they have live entertainment most nights, the night we visited was open mic night. The walls of each room are painted with murals, the first 2 depicting narrow streets as it would have been back in the day... the back room is full of famous singers, brilliantly painted! Wide selection of beers available
