Called in for a few drinks before a gig. Really enjoyed the music, atmosphere and clientele. Unsure if they served food as only there for drinks.
One of the few places I'd never been to in Wakefield so I made a point of going here and was not disappointed. Friendly and informative staff. Nice drinks at a reasonable price, especially the ABK lager. The pub itself has a shabby chic style, inviting and relaxed atmosphere. Local artists have their pieces on the wall to buy which I've always thought is a great idea.I went just as it opened which is why it looks quite quiet but I know it gets busy in the evenings. My next time back to Wakefield will definitely include a return visit.
Although the building is really unsuspecting, it is really nice inside, I only got photos of the back room but others have posted photos of the main pub. The staff here are super friendly & chatty, the atmosphere was really nice and drinks are reasonably priced with a decent selection. They also have classic pub snacks available, and they do events during the week too. Definitely somewhere to look out for!
In the current CAMRA Good Beer Guide (2023) a good choice of cask ales and continental quality lagers. A little quiet for a Saturday. Pay them a visit you'll find good beer.
A lovely relaxed, cosy atmosphere with great beer and very friendly hosts. How pubs should be done. Highly recommended!

Nice cosy place with free wifi and friendly service. Good choice of cask and bottled beers. Reasonable prices
A lovely traditional English pub. Always made welcome. A great range of ales and other drinks. Live music and other entertainment on at times. Well worth a visit. Check fb page for opening times and whats on.
