Lovely bar, plentiful entertainment. Thoroughly enjoyable food and drinks at highly reasonable prices. Friendly staff and management. One of my favourite venues
Took my son for some burgers after college open day. As always staff are hilarious. Musics great, drinks cant be beaten, food is insanely good and portions are huge

Karaoke Fridays in this place are ABSOLUTLEY amazing, great atmosphere and fabulous entertainment! Came in today (Sunday) for a roast and this was AMAZING! The beef was so tender and tasty, highly recommend!
First time visiting Wakefield and found this pub and became a favourite straight away due to the atmosphere and the food. Lovely staff and service from everyone. It had a drag disco and Karaoke on the Friday night but the music is not too loud like in some venues, they got the balance just right so you can still talk to each other. Ordering food was super simple as every table had a QR code to scan which too you to their menu and you simply put in your table number and selected what you wanted then paid with Apple Pay. The food arrived within 25 mins and was really good. I recommend their pies, had both the Steak and Ale and the Chicken and mushroom over two nights. Highly recommend this pub if you want a great night out with good food at a reasonable price. I will be back deffo.
Been to this place a couple of times when visiting Wakefield, staff are great nothing is to much trouble management great really enjoyed the food really would recommend the steak! There's great entertainment on definitely 5* will be visiting again when I'm down.
Great music and atmosphere. We also had sharer platters to eat whilst there and they did the trick of eating something light whilst out following our visit to the rhubarb festival and having birthday celebrations. Great booth seating and enjoyed our visit.
Just called for drinks on this occasion but the food that was being served looked good.pleasant atmosphere, music playing but not too loud, lots of seating areas plus outside when better weather.
Food was delicious, steak cooked to perfection for me. Reasonably priced! Some staff could be a little less blunt, young lad serving on the bar was lovely.
