We had a really good meal at The Swan and The Cygnet. The food was tasty, came out quickly, and the whole place had a relaxed, welcoming feel. It was a great evening, good food, nice atmosphere and no fuss. Just to mention as well, Wendy was brilliant. She was friendly, checked in at the right times and kept everything running smoothly without ever feeling over the top. A small detail, but it definitely added to the experience. All in all, a really positive visit — we’ll happily come back again.

Great atmosphere, lovely staff, food was lovely and hot. We had carvery. Meat was tender and I even like the sprouts! I will say that I was a little disappointed by the roast potatoes…they were a bit hard and not fluffy inside and too much pepper BUT I really didn’t enjoy the rest of it and would have gone up for seconds if I had room for it. My daughter ate all her fish fingers and chips and commented on the guy that brought her food to her saying he was really nice and kind

The place was clean , bright and welcoming. The place wasn't too busy and we found a table straight away. The tables were all clean and ready for the next customer which was nice to see. We ordered via the qr code which was easy and you can still order from the bar still if you prefer. We ordered 2 regular carvery and a kids mac n cheese and drinks from the app too. The carvery deck was clean and plenty of choice. I had the turkey and it was really nice and my husband got all 3 meats abs he said the beef was a little dried from sitting under the heat lamps too long but the gammon was really good. The veg didn't look dried up and was really nice. I loved the carrots and my husband said the same . Overall it was a positive visit and we will be back.

We had a lovely lunch which was very nicely cooked and brought to our table with no waiting time even though the pub was busy. The staff are helpful and cheerful. A section of the pub is dog friendly and they even have a dog menu which our dog took advantage of and enjoyed a sausage served in a little dog bowl.

Service not great, had to wait over half an hour for food but the pub wasn’t busy. Dried gravy on the custard jug. Not served in order at the bar

We were up from Wales with our Dog and had a lovely meal, so nice to have a proper dining area for guests with dogs instead of a poky corner of the bar like most pubs. If we didn’t live hundreds of miles away we’d visit every week! Great service from Shaun and the rest of the team, so friendly and fab food too! Thank you!

Friday the 22/07/22 about 1300 went to the Swan & Cygnet have been many times before so tried a carvery for the first time.First the carrots had a mixed texture some were soft some were very hard to chew the gravy was thin but did have a nice flavour to it. The Yorkshire puddings however were very flat and raw in the middle first time i have ever taken photos of my food. But these were that bad i had to Yorkshire puddings were not on display but hidden under the counter now i know why. Also this is the first time i have ever been to a Restaurant and not asked how the meal was did they know thats why they never came over look at the photos judge for youre self The meat was tender and cut in to nice thick slices. thank you for reading this

We went hear on the weekend for Sunday carvery. Really nice place to eat, not too bizzy and a toy area fir the kids to sit and play. I would recommend spending the £2 extra and getting large carvery if you feeling upto it, I had all 3 meats and a extra large Yorkshire pudding with everything in that. Activity pack for the kids £1.99. Carvery £10 or £12 large.. refillable pop aswell.

Beautiful tasty carvery at a reasonable price. We had two small plates and two diet Pepsi for £19.00. There were three different meats to choose from, yorkshire pudding and stuffing. Plus four different vegetable choices, mashed and roast potatoes. Sauces and gravy available for you to add to your plate at the end. The decor inside is a little tired and out dated. There is a massive car park at the back of the pub. Well worth a visit for the food.

Called in today just for a drink no dinning, the food menu looks okay and carvery is also available. Staff friendly and polite. Nice and cosy surroundings with some nice areas outside.
