We went today for my mum in laws 85th birthday. There was 9 of us and we all enjoyed it, with a mix of meals from the festive menu. Good, service and ambience was fantastic. Louise our waitress was fabulous too, friendly, efficient and made a fuss of the birthday girl. Thankyou. We will return. The Schofield party.
We had the most wonderful time at breakfast with Santa . Staff were very attentive, food was delicious and plentiful. Santa was fantastic with the children. The story telling elf, made the experience more magical. The morning, felt well organised , welcoming and festive. We would recommend this experience and will definitely be back next year, Well done and thank you Andrea and Louise.
What an amazing Sunday lunch we both had the lamb dinner it was cooked to perfection looked wonderful with a lovely garnish to top it off. The service was second to none. Thank you the red kite and all your team. We will definitely be back
Was away for work and Katie, Verona (I believe her name is) and Louise really looked after me, making me feel comfortable and very friendly. Food was amazing. Such big portions, definitely worth the money
Spent valentines evening here for a nice meal. There was an offer on for a three course menu. This is a nice rustic old English pub, warm and welcoming with fires burning and woodern beams and old photos of the local area. The menu was good with plenty of choice, the food was delicious and well prepared. Drinks selection at the bar was vast, no shortage of choice. The restaurant is much bigger than it appears hosting a large number of guests. The waiting times between courses was quite long but the staff explained they had last minute staff shortages. Considering it was valentines and the place was fully booked, and having staff shortages the service was great, very friendly, not stressed, and the food wasn’t lacking in quality or cooked in a rush. Well done to everyone. Can’t wait to come here in the summer to enjoy the large outdoor area.
First time to visit Red Kite today with friends and their dogs ,as a beautiful afternoon sat outside in the beer garden. Such a doggy friendly pub with treats and water bowls. Lovely big green grass area. Ordered off the menu at the bar and chose to be served outside. I went with the slow roasted belly pork it was beautifully presented and even better tasted delicious. Definitely will be a return visitor when I return to Wakefield
Love this pub! Cozy and warm, large portions, delicious food. Staff is very friendly, too :) prices are reasonable and overall value for money is excellent. Plenty of parking space as well.
What a lovely pub with a relaxing atmosphere. We sat right next to the open log fire, so cosy. There was waitress service at the table. The waitress was friendly. I had a chicken sandwich and my friend had a fish finger sandwich both were served with french fries. We both had a soft drink and a coffee it cost £26.50 in total. There is plenty of parking, inside and outside seating. The toilets are up a flight of stairs but there is an accessible toilet and baby chaining room on the ground floor. A nice place for lunch .
Happy quiet family pub for breakfast and dinner. Very attentive staff. Lovely eggs Benedict and amazing Sunday roast. Roasted beef was quite thin (like ham) and a bit dried out. Back for another dinner. Gammon steak was slightly on the salty side but still good. Chicken and mushroom pie was amazing. Desserts were all great ! The banoffee pie was all into details.
