I had a very unpleasant experience at Riva Island. The customer service was shocking. The manager and the counter staff were completely unhelpful, unfriendly, and treated us with very little respect. It genuinely felt like they gave priority and better attention to certain customers while ignoring or dismissing others. As an Asian customer, I felt unwelcome and not treated fairly at all. No support, no proper communication, and absolutely no professionalism. I left feeling disappointed and disrespected. I will not be returning, and I do not recommend this place to anyone who expects fair and decent customer service.

Itβs so sad to see what is happening in beckton store. It was Sunday morning we walk in with kids. Entire floor was dirty. And they had many workers on shop floor, all they were doing gossiping and not even giving any attention to customers. They should be replace all the workers and hire new staff and provide them proper training. River island is big brand they should maintain the standerd. Itβs huge difference when you go to big shopping mall branches and backton retail park branch. Itβs like when you get in it looks like we entered into a grocery spice store. Smelly, unorganised more etc . Please it would be request to HR department to look in to this matter very carefully.

All I could hear the whole time in the mens section upstairs, is the two female colleagues chit chatting. No regard for me or the other customer browsing. The changing rooms blocked off 15mins before store closing and they refused to let me use it even though I said it would take me 5 mins trying on a couple of items. Wouldn't let me pay because their till was closed so sent me downstairs while they continued their chatter. I wonder if this will be one of the stores closing!

Extremely upset as we received no welcoming or any good, BASIC customer service. Upstairs which is the menβs section was completely empty only customers but no staff whatsoever. We had to wait for someone to walk past to tell them we want to pay at the tills. Mostly female workers and one woman with a lanyard Iβm guessing she was the stores manager etc found her chatting amongst the other colleagues and not advising them to assist us as we wanted to pay again. This store needs to pay attention to customers itβs not their free time to talk

Really awful customer service, three members of staff were rude, one skinny lady in an orange dress and the chavviest accent made an unsolicited comment on my size/weight. Till queue was empty but still took a while to get served, despite shop being empty and at least 4 members of staff on the floor.

Amazing store...brilliant staff. Lady called Aisha served me. They were busy but still treated me like I was only one in there. Great customer service. Well stocked up with all the sizes. I was really impressed.
