   Lovely, atmospheric venue with original structural features, and a great outdoor area, which is handy in the summer, and sheltered for the colder months. They have some really good, famous live acts on, and with it not being too big inside, it makes for an intimate gig experience. The staff are second to none - friendly, attentive and with a genuine family-like dynamic. I love watching them dancing and having a good time behind the bar. It feels like a safe environment, and with the outdoor area being at the back, children are safe to go out and play with their friends at parties. This place really is Dewsbury’s hidden gem, away from the rowdiness of the town centre.

   Held 2 x private parties here so far, and couldn't be happier. All the staff more than happy to accomodate us, from deliveries of food and party gear, to drinks line up and availability of specific products. Staffed well, great value, a superb place to hold that special event, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space (with cover and heating).

   What a fantastic little gem in the heart of Dewsbury, friendly helpful staff, good selection of drinks and home to live rock and alternative bands. My band played yesterday and can't wait to again, the crowd made it a party, there was much love in the room, great atmosphere. Look after this place Dewsbury (and beyond), it's such a great night out if you appreciate a big loud live racket and good booze.

   Not a pub I frequent often however I was made to feel welcome. Good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Staff were efficient and friendly. Customers also seemed nice. A good atmosphere all round. Would recommend.

   One of my old local hangouts. Great little venue for live music. Owned by the people that run West Riding so expect similar drinks & the same great service. Dogs welcome. Lovely out back on a summer evening.

   In the pub to film The Old Turk. Very good storyline, free food, booze tea and coffee. Pub is well known for live music and very good disco, many events have afterparties till 2 a.m. Biergarden at the rear which is partly covered, for smokers.

   The only rock & metal pub in Dewsbury. Friendly staff, usually about 4+ beers to choose from (also various other drinks) and they do gigs for local rock and metal bands. Great stuff. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is, that usually they tend to turn the background music too loud to hear someone talking. If you want to chat, you should come at 7pm and have about 2 hours of talk. Usually from 9pm the music is too loud so you can only drink, unless you step outside for a chat. Still - one of the two of my favourite pubs in town.
