   Had a MOT done on the Monday 2nd June they told my mom it failed on front brake pads and would cost £200 my mom went ahead with it and then told me I realised we had been ripped off when on the bill it says brake pad £59. I rang up straight away and I asked him was the brake pads top brand to which he answered no they was cheap I said was they from dealer or aftermarket he said aftermarket I told him I work for carspares he then put the phone down. I know brake pads do not cost £59 on the aftermarket. I have been back to the garage to get answers and got fobbed off by the mechanic when I questioned him he kept on looking around the room and repeatedly saying if your mom wants to query the bill tell her to come down (I had the bill on my phone) I shown the mechanic and he said yeah but you could be lying (even though I have proof). I have got in touch with tradestandards and have tried to sort it with Pete himself on email to see wether i can get a part refund to which he said the brake pads was the best priced ones and they add abit of money on top for staff and business. to which I replied "That is not what your mechanic said and can you send proof of how much the brake pads cost". (That was 2 days ago and still not have had a reply). I have told and asked other garages in and around them how much they would charge they said £120.

   Carcare are great! Never been let down by them and the prices are spoton. Nice lads and hardworking. I trust them with any car I have and have been going to them for around 9 years. Thats how you know they havent let me down yet. If I had to be picky the place could do with a spruce but besides that you cannot complain.

   Worst - don’t trust them. The owner brings drawings and print outs of spare parts to wrongly advice you for bigger unnecessary works and bills. I had to pay £1250 which other mechanic advise was totally not needed. Then, they don’t accept credit card payments - which was never told in advance. Only positive is the reception room has a good air con on a sunny day. Probably set for the owner.
