Got my MOT done here recently - service was great and my car got seen very quickly. Also asked them if they could change a couple of my back lights - they were very helpful and only charged me for the bulbs. Class

Normally going to car places people know it's going to be a draining and not so fun experience. I can honestly say my mind has been changed, the gentleman at this place are Incredibly kind and professional. Would 100% recommend to anyone and ill definitely be returning when I need help with any car issues.

arrived a few minutes early than the booked schedule but it took 5 hours (09:30 - 14:30) for just MOT! no one told me before it took so long time and not offer any courtesy car. I walked back home to wait and then walked back to pick up….not good…..

The only time I had my car serviced by an independent garage was at “MotorServ,” about a year and a half ago. The experience was poor — the service quality was lacking, and the staff were aggressive and rude (except for Simon if i recall his name correctly). As a result, I left a negative review. Shortly after, the manager contacted me, asking me to remove the review in exchange for fixing the issues and offering a goodwill gesture. I thought, “Fair enough — mistakes happen,” and appreciated that they were at least willing to rectify them. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, accepted the offer, and even ended up posting a positive review. It’s worth noting: this may explain why they maintain a 4-star rating — by requesting the removal of negative reviews in return for offering freebies. During my visit, I had a full service done, including replacement of the brake pads. I had to return three times due to their mistakes. The ‘gesture’ they gave me was wheel balancing and alignment. However, they failed to do it properly — one wheel, they claimed, couldn’t be aligned because the bolt was ‘too tight.’ I later went to another garage where the job was done perfectly, with a full alignment report provided — clearly, no problem at all. At that point, I mentally decided never to return to MotorServ again. Now, a further issue has come to light after 1.5 years. Upon returning to BMW, I was informed that the brake pad sensor — which should have been replaced when the pads were — had not been changed. For BMW vehicles, brake pads and sensors typically come as a package. In other words, MotorServ only did half the job — they replaced the pads but not the sensor, which is now causing problems. Whether people like it or not, I believe BMW’s assessment. I called MotorServ — not to demand compensation or ask them to redo the work, but simply to hear what they had to say about their substandard, Mickey Mouse service. The person who answered said it was 'out of warranty.' I replied that warranty was irrelevant — the issue was that they never fitted all the required parts in the first place. He said someone responsible for this area would call me back. Two weeks later: no call, no response. As I said, I can accept mistakes. But I cannot accept a business that refuses to own up to them or make things right. Let this be a reminder: their 4-star rating does not reflect their true standard — many of those stars have been bought by offering freebies in exchange for deleted bad reviews. Regardless, I have no intention of letting MotorServ touch my car again. Ever. Just a note: if they had simply got in touch with me and offered an explanation, this message would never have been written.

A back street garage will always be a back street garage no matter the fancy advertisements and false promises! Never again shall I trust MotorSev UK again with another vehicle ever. This my first and last visit. It was a complete con and a waste of £1,000. The car was returned with more problems than it had before it was intrusted to MotorServe UK not to mention dirty. I wish I read some reviews before taking my vehicle to these unprofessional con artists. Reading other reviews, I’m not the first or the last to be ripped off by MortServe UK. Photo evidence attached below. The vehicle which is to be used as a pool car for a children’s care home was to get a complete service and fluids change along with the air conditioning repair as it was not working. MortorServ UK came up with a very long list of things they said was wrong with the car and their respective fixes and exorbitant costs to get them all repaired. I agreed to get all of them repaired apart from the turbo and catalytic converter replacement which was unnecessary and another con to get you to pay even more for items that do not need replacing. The vehicle was fully valeted by SF Valeting on Longmore Road before it was picked up my Motorserv UK. They had the vehicle for nearly two weeks stating incomplete parts arrived for the air conditioning repair etc. After this prolonged period, they stated that the air conditioning now also needed a new compressor at a cost of £895. At this point I was unhappy with their excuses and misdiagnosis and wanted to have the vehicle returned. Their workshop controller Steve talks to you with the idea that everyone must so gullible and know nothing about cars! Unfortunately for Steve I am also an RITIB qualified grade 1 mechanic. I now work on other larger projects, so do not repair my own vehicles as not having a ramp in my garage. The car will now need to be repaired by someone who knows what they are doing. I asked Motor Serv UK to remove their air conditioning refrigerant (not the coolant which is what their mechanic in their video called it! Proper mechanics know coolant goes in the cooling system and refrigerant circulates in the air conditioning system.) I was told this was impossible and they could not refund me for the gas. Anyone with any knowledge of air conditioning systems knows this is complete nonsense. So, I have been charged for air con re-gassing and repairs for an air conditioning system that still does not work and will need to be repaired by a competent engineer. The vehicle was returned late covered in oily handprints and dirt inside the cabin which wasn’t present when they picked up having been fully valeted. The driver’s answer was its nothing to do with me, I’m just a driver! No ownership or customer service whatsoever. His co driver a young lad was rude and just drove off when I tried to point out my unhappiness at the state of the vehicles return. So much for the fancy false advertising of a complementary was and vacuum! Don’t believe the hype! To add to my misery, the vehicle now has a noise coming from under the bonnet when you accelerate or decelerate that was not present before Motor Serv UK worked on the car. The automatic gearbox issue is still present with no change whatsoever. The service book was not stamped. The vehicle service due light came on within days! The coolant which was supposed to have been flushed is full of rust in the expansion tank! A flush is supposed to flush out the coolant system of particulates, otherwise what is the point of paying for a flush? I have very little confidence that the automatic gearbox fluid and filter have been changed which was Motor Serv UK’s fix for the issue which is still present. I hope they have actually changed the brake fluid as per their invoice and charges of £1,000 for what now looks like a mere oil, spark plug and filter service. Learnt my lesson to never trust MotorServ UK. Con artists will always be con artists. Take you vehicles to MotorServ Uk at your own peril.

Fantastic service from start to finish, car was collected and delivered, options provided to me in regards to servicing, thorough health check was conducted on the vehicle (complimentary may I add) and was informed as to the necessity of certain repairs, very good guidance given and car was valeted before being returned. All in all despite having a new car and being badgered by main dealers to bring my car in for a service at an extortionate price I am very glad to have found a main dealer alternative with a similar calibre of service! Will be a returning customer

I recently sold my BMW 3 series through MotorServ UK Solihull. I initially had paid for an ad on Autotrader in the attempt to sell the car my self but didn't have much luck at all over the 4 weeks it was posted online. MotorServ reached out to me and said they would like to sell the car for me and agreed a sale amount and how much of a fee they would take. I took my car down to site so they could check it over and get it on the ramp, to make sure everything was in good condition. They also took a lot of professional pictures of it so they could advertise it for me on their own website and other platforms they use. For this visit I needed to valet it before heading down. I was told on average it takes around 4 weeks to sell a car, and mine sold in around 5 weeks. I was happy with the final amount I received. I was looked after mainly by Bart who was both experienced and efficient. However everyone I had spoke to at MotorServ was very friendly and was always helpful. I did have some concerns around receiving the funds as I was told initially I would receive my money between 1-14 days. Simon the accounts manager was very helpful and ensured I received my money straightaway without any delays, so that I could use this towards my new car. As a note for anyone potentially selling their car via MotorServ I would advise that you may need to take your car down on multiple occasions so prospective buyers can have a look and test drive your car. For me this was quite difficult as I work full time and don't live that close to the Solihull. This is something to consider discuss with the team in advance. Overall happy with the service and would definitely recommend, they were a professional company and ultimately delivered on their initial offer.
