Went for the Sunday carvery. Table booked for 4.30. Very disappointing, dry meat barely warm. almost impossible to cut with the knife provided. Veg and sides very bland. roasties and parsnips ok but again temperature too low. Gravy was very nice.

Deep fried chicken wing starter would not recommend. Fried till all the chicken gone. Steak was really well cooked fresh. Chips were a bit dry but not the worst. Other than the chicken wings food quite nice. Loads of space to either eat or just hang out and have a pint. Staff friendly promoting a nice welcoming atmosphere. Spacious if visiting with family.

Entering the pub, it was cold. With it being minus temperature outside, it wasn't very warm inside. The food was okay. The burgers were good flame grilled. The smothered platter was nice. Some meats little on the small side. Steak cooked good. The chips were good, as was the fish and chips meal. The kids have a good variety of options, from little to big kids menus. Indoor play area attached for the kids. Overall, decent chain pub grub. I would go back again.

Visited for my granddaughters birthday (15/08). Sat in the children's play area, good atmosphere but music was very loud. Food was ordered, quite a lot of it. Unfortunately it wasn't worth the wait. My daughter had the mixed grill, but only a 4oz steak not 8 like she ordered. Took so long for them to check and refund that her meal was cold, no offer to reheat or replace. Food was greasy and warm. Hairs on cutlery and plate, dry chicken, chipped crockery, disgusting egg!!! We complained to the manageress and she said that we needed to complain to head office. Staff were very un helpful. We all suffered upset stomachs for next few days. My daughter ended up with food poisoning resulting in a very unpleasant trip to A&E. (The staff at the hospital need a medal) Definitely spoiled our day out!!! I can honestly say we will not be back!

Was really nice food ,meat cooked to perfection. Only issue was the Diane sauce it didn't taste like the traditional one I like but everything else was perfect

Definitely can't cook a steak by grades... Probably not their fault, its not often someone asks for something other than well done steak, but Medium isn't that hard to judge... Burnt bacon too. I did wonder why it was taking a while to cremate the food. Can't be one star, as staff were great, and all was as should be expected from a brewers fayre. And of course like a true English man, didn't complain as I was hungry.

We came here for a family dinner. There's free parking and wifi. Service was pretty good. We ordered food and drinks. The drinks came quickly. When the food arrived, my meal didn't. We queried this and apparently the haddock and chips was off the menu but no-one had bothered to tell us. I had to re-choose something and went for the fish pie. Not sure I'd come here again.
