⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Visited recently and it was absolutely spot on. A proper pub with loads of character, a friendly welcome from the moment you walk in and a really good atmosphere. Great range of drinks, well kept and served properly, and the staff were brilliant attentive, chatty and clearly proud of the place. It’s the kind of pub where you go in for one and end up staying far longer than planned. Exactly what a great local should be. We’ll definitely be back again soon.

Me and the hubby called in today for something to eat..Wow what an improvement from the last time I popped in a few years back. Everywhere tastefully decorated including lovely xmas decorations. Very warm and friendly staff . Got served quickly and the food was amazing. A plus is there dog friendly and have a few doggy treats for sale at the bar. Relaxing vibe to the place. Will definitely be calling in again.

Been going here every wedneday for the last 12 months as its local to a club my daughter attends. The venue is exactly what you would expect for a chain pub however has always been nice food. The staff are amazing and friendly. Top service thank you to the staff behind the bar.

The Rufford is a fantastic pub with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. The staff are friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The food is top-notch – generous portions, well-cooked, and packed with flavour, with a great mix of pub classics and seasonal specials. The Sunday roasts are especially worth mentioning, with perfectly cooked meats and crispy roast potatoes. Drinks are well kept, with a good choice of beers, wines, and spirits at fair prices. The pub itself is cosy and inviting, with a lovely outdoor area for warmer days. A great spot for families, friends, or a casual pint – highly recommended!

Doggie breakfast with Santa. Went today, didn't expect much as some places have been dreadful (Rufford Abbey last year, I'm talking about you most of all....), the staff here were great, making a big fuss of all the animals and sorting everything out quickly and easily. Our dog got his own breakfast (2 sausage, bacon, scrambled egg and hash brown !!!) then got to meet Santa and had a goody bag of treats. Well worth the price for our dog and us humans, we met up with some friends and family, had a nice breakfast and couldn't fault it. For many people, their pets are as much a member of the family as their children, it's nice to be able to bring them to friendly places where we can relax enjoy a breakfast together. It was a great morning, in all we had 5 dogs between us and they all loved their breakfast and goodie bags, good on you for being dog friendly and entering into the spirit of things, we all felt it was great fun as well as enjoying the food and drink. Certainly something we'll look to do again, thank you for making it a great morning.

First time dining at The Rufford. We went as a family of eight which included four children. The staff there were very welcoming and very accommodating, the food was really well presented and cooked to exactly how I expected it. With what we had on our plates the meal was really good value for what we paid. Thank you to the staff who accommodated us and to Ricky the chef for delivering a well cooked and presented meal. We will definitely call in again.

The Rufford has been our local for years and we can safely say that the current management and Chef have really improved things over the previous. Food is really fairly priced, good quality, tasty and the Lagers are at the going rate. A few choices of premium Lagers and great family friendly atmosphere. Everything likes tidy and clean, lucky to have The Rufford on our doorstep. Can well recommend for functions too!

Our first visit to The Rufford in a very long time as we'd heard good reports on the food. Molly was lovely and very efficient. Surprised to see how quiet it was, maybe it got busier for the quiz later, unfortunately we couldn't stay. Food was very tasty, disappointed that you had run out of tomatoes and mushrooms. Chef did send his apologies, it would have been a nice touch to offer a bit of something else to replace it.

Had a meal with my daughters and toddler granddaughter. We were all made very welcome. Service was quick, friendly and professional. There was a slight mix up with a dietary request on meal, but the young woman who served us picked up on our conversation and quickly double checked the order without being asked to. The issue was swiftly resolved and the food was really tasty. We all really enjoyed the meal, including granddaughter who cleared her bowl of pasta and garlic bread with veggie sticks faster than any of us. Would recommend for a family meal and look forward to visiting again. Thank you.

November 2021.. A very pleasant large restaurant/ pub, with a v.large car park with electric car charging point avaliable. (Something different). Had a midweek lunchtime meal together with friends, good clean premises and freindly staff, no cask ales were available but the usual draught lagers, beers and ciders were.. Food ordered from the menu arrived quickly and really hot, also available was a carvery that had 3 prices to suit different appetites. This food was also hot and tasty. They have entertainment on most nights. MERRY CHRISTMAS !!
