A great little local, good choice of beer and snacks and the landlord is trying to improve the place, the best room refurb makes it a great little function room.
Absolutely shocking service and buffet! Booked over FB messenger weeks before, went to pay two weeks before party and we wasn’t in the diary. They put us in and I paid for catering for 10 ppl as only a small baby shower and agreed we could go in for 11am to start setting up. Tried to ring the same week to confirm all details but no phone line, I left a fb message and no one replied. Got there on the day, a man let us in and didn’t know anything about us going, he was having to hoover as we was setting up. Toilets hadn’t been cleaned and smelt of sick, was even sick down the toilet walls. I checked with the lady (the same lady as I paid two weeks before) that all was okay with the food as I had a feeling they’d forgotten. The look on her face was priceless and even though she said everything was okay, my husband and I could hear them panicking about it and saying they’ll have to go to Morrisons. The buffet was terrible, all sandwiches and hardly anything else. Promised an Indian platter, cakes, salad etc. We got 6 small pieces of quiche when there were 11 ppl, the tiniest bit of salad and coleslaw, NO cakes…. absolutely disgusting! There was no way we got close to £80 worth of food. Never been so embarrassed and had to apologise to the ppl that came and paid money for something to eat. No doubt they’ve gone to maccies on the way home.
This is my 'goto' to place for karaoke, but more than that, the girls behind the bar are absolutely top drawer. Elaine is the boss, and she's so lovely - always a friendly smile and has the patience of a saint. Heidi (what a fantastic name) is an utter delight as well. She helps keep everyone in order, and well lubricated. She does a really nice cup of tea. There is a pool table but not a lot of room down one side, and they have karaoke every fortnight. I'll do a separate review on that on YouTube. My only criticism is the toilets. They're not great, but they're functional. All in all, a great night out with delightful hosts.

A lovely pub with a great friendly atmosphere food served promptly and was really nice . Lewis and his team are always willing to help out whether it a party or event or a meeting with free use of their facilities . We recently had our community event here it was a brilliant day and lewis was more than happy to help . Watch thus space for more community events . The best pub in inkersall .
We had my Nana's wake at The Hop Flower last Thursday 16th September and we can't thank the staff enough. They went above and beyond to cater for our needs under the upsetting and sad circumstances. The staff were brilliant and the buffet we had was excellent, everyone commented on how nice the venue was. It has brilliant car parking facilities, a good amount of outside space to sit aswel as shelter too. I'd highly reccomend visiting for drinks and food.
Friendly estate pub, now getting some stability of ownership and seems someone who really cares about getting the old place up and running again. Trying new things like Gin nights, perfume nights as well as keeping the old favourites such as Thursday and Sunday quiz nights going. Nice outdoor area to rear and good amount of hand gel dispensers around at this time. Needs to sort out disabled access but this is in hand. Supported by a range of locals, but more needed, try a visit!
